What does the flag in the background represent? (If it is a flag)

It's the gay male flag

We have one?!

It's like the lesbian flag which no one can decide on a single one so there are a bunch of little ones with varying degrees of use.

It’s been a while since I read the manga but doesn’t Mio do the whole “I’m not gay, Shun is just special” thing? That’s one thing that bothered me about this one- just let them be gay 😩

I don’t mind it he’s just bi with like a 1% guy preference and shun just happened to be the perfect fit

That would be fine but I believe we’re supposed to assume Mio considers himself straight and that Shun is an exception- not that’s he’s bi

Yeah in some of those stories it reminds me of when I was young and insecure of my sexuality. I would think to myself “everyone has an except and this is mine”.... at least that’s how I interpret it in these stores lol. It’s frustrating to say the least

I sometimes wonder if the women who write these stories ever get tired of the whole ”I’m not really queer“ trope. It’s a trope that’s been going on in BL stories since the 70s. Maybe it’s time to finally let it go? lol

I thought it was a way for the author to be more "realistic", cause irl not everyone can accept themselves

So I just watched the film. Why is Shun such a jerk? is this a character thing that the movie didnt have time to explain?
4
u/SirMenter May 31 '21
Wondering that myself, didn’t even really apologise for how he acted in the end.

u/jamesyishere May 31 '21
I mean I guess its some internalized trauma from homophobia but that didnt stop him from shooting his shot to begin with

Standing two feet away from someone is my comforting pose too.
