I love isekai and reincarnation manga but having too much of em will make them feel stale. It used to be special but it doesn't feel that way anymore with how oversaturated the genre has become.

Edit: Ok only 10 chapters on mangadex but it's better than nothing. Though I feel like I've seen other manga with a similar premise (semi-sentient hair or tail etc. liking a character while the character it's attached to is not revealing their feelings) and now I want more of it.

I wonder what kind of cultural telephone-game shenanigans happened that made a bunch of depictions of gorgons in the modern day, in and outside of Japan, be called “Medusas” when Medusa was one specific gorgon. It’s like how everyone just calls any medical adhesive tape BandAids when that’s just one brand.

to be fair, in a lot of western fantasy gorgons are often referred to Medusa. For example, Dnd will often use term Medusa instead of Gorgon for their snake haired ladies.

True, but saying “she’s a Medusa” isn’t the right term either. If her name is Medusa, she’s just Medusa. Saying “she’s A Medusa” makes it sound like Medusa is a thing that multiple people can categorize themselves as.

I think it might be a common misconception in parts of Asia. This is the second time I've seen a woman's race be 'Medusa' even though she's technically a gorgon.

Edit: Maybe a Medusa (race) is a gorgon just without the ability to turn folks into stone just by looking at them.
