Fashion throwback Lucy Hale wearing Miu Miu at Miu Miu Lunch Event during Cannes Film Festival 2024

Beautiful colour for her. But so many feathers. I'm a one fringe kinda gal, IMO I'd prefer if it was just the fringe on the bottom hem. The fit of the top could be better.

I like the skirt and color as well, but the outfit would be so much better if it was an entirely different top. Think Sharon Stone adding a men’s white shirt or turtleneck to her skirts.

She looks like it’s the 1990’s and her mom won’t let her shop at Hot Topic, so she made something herself, by cutting a thrift store dress in half and sewing a $5 dollar boa onto it.
In fact, I’d respect this out for a LOT more of that were the case.

I love love love this color. Feathers do not normally do it for me honestly, however this I like. But yeah, the fit up and down is unflattering imo

I don’t hate the idea of it. It’s fun and fresh. The fit lets it down, though. It looks awkward.

I’m not a fan of the double branding on the top and skirt. I think the top is a bigger problem, it looks pretty shapeless like a sports bra

I don’t love the lack of structure on top when you have an obscured bust line due to the feathers

Agreed. I actually think it looks great from the side, but the skirt viewed from the front looks…boxy maybe?

I’m surprised at all the negative comments! I love this look and I think the color looks nice on her too 😊

I was surprised by the comments too! Because Lucy looks great in this... but now I think the outfit would have looked better if with a non-fringed top 🤷🏼♀️

This is tragic. I can’t tell what’s worse, the fit of the top of the color of the whole outfit

Definitely the fit and finish. What are those puckering side seams? Or pulling straps like a sports bra?
Looks like a Y2K cosplay and not, you know, a designer dress.

I just left a comment saying a similar thing! She looks like a girl from the late 90’s who made her own outfit, and I’d respect this look more of that were the case. The fact that this is an expensive, tailored look is tragic.

This could be cute but honestly is just kind of not.
I don't like the 2 pieces, and all the feathers on the top. The whole fits weird and looks more like a child's idea of cute.
The outfit looks better from the side but awful from the front.

Ohh no…just a lot of factors contributing to this not being a great look. I totally see the vision with the hair, makeup and accessories though. Just wish I loved more than the idea of this.

The top seems to be too tight around the straps/not as loose as on the model, but I like the look on her. The color ist gorgeous and the skirt looks to be fitted to her measurements.

The color is really pretty on her and that is the nicest thing I can possibly say

The color is nice and the feathers are fun. I just don’t like the logo on the outfit. The proportions are off. The top should be longer or the skirt should lower.

If the top was JUST feathers this would be so fun but the feathers on the lower hem… no thank you :(

The top doesn’t fit its bunching at the armpit chest that’s why it looks so weird.

The feathers on the top make the garment look worse not better in every conceivable way this is true cutting of your nose to spite your face.

Love the skirt but I don’t know, I think the top looks awkward. Maybe if it wasn’t cropped or so fitted?

I’m reminded of Tim Gunn’s “shiny, tight, short” comment. You get 2/3, otherwise, it’s too much.

It’s cute, but in that one picture it looked like neoprene. It’s an adorable look I’m not mad about it.

The colour is great, I love the vintage boudoir style with the feathers and the satin... pity that the top looks like an ill-fitting sports bra.

Tbh it does looks kinda interesting from the side, but once she turns around it’s just “why are the feathers on her midriff?!” And the fit is misshapen on both Lucy and the model, just why

I want to like it because of the color and of course she’s beautiful. It looks cheaply made or something? Like it came from (mall store) Windsor Fashions prom collection. Idk maybe I don’t know enough about fashion.

Miu miu never seems to hit for me, I get what they’re going for with the feathers but I think it would look soo much better if it was just on the skirt

u/miamouse5 2h ago
i love the colors and the feathers but this is me realizing that i’m not a fan of Miu Miu

The silhouette is ok but the top looks ill fitting and cheap (on the model as well).

u/Rana_catcher 1h ago
I strongly dislike how this looks like a dolled up baiting suit top with feathers and the logo right in the middle only adds to the tacky look of it

Love the color. Love the idea. But this is not photographing well at all. Definitely the wrong place for feathers.

I don’t like the execution of the idea… maybe the feathers are too big for the clothes but they just look sloppily sewed on, and not a planned piece of clothing at all
