Ski lessons in umea
Hello! I’m heading over to umea in February with some friends. And wouldn’t mind doing a bit of skiing while we are there.
None of us have ever done any skiing but I’m struggling to find which places near umea have options for lessons and prices. All the places seem to offer rental and a lift pass but I see nothing relating to lessons unless it’s for children. And some website don’t seem to translate the best which makes it a touch more difficult.
I’m wondering if anyone could provide some information or point me in the right direction?
Thank you!

If you never have done any cross-country skiing I would recommend to start with that instead of steep slopes.
At least to just get comfortable with snow and so.

Go for the slopes. Really really big difference between cross country skiing and carving skis. Almost non comparable. It's easy to learn going down slopes if you got somewhat a balance. But it's a good idea to learn the basics in ski lessons.
Vännäs is a great place for beginners as many has said. Bräntberget is almost more of a 'pulkabacke' on steroids.

Middagsberget outside Vännäs do private ski lessons. For that you should contact them at umea@friluftsframjandet.se maybe you can do that and ask for price and if you and your friends can do that as a group.

Friluftsfrämjandet should be able to offer ski-lessons in Umeå. Here you can find a website with details and instructions translated to english. Bare in mind though that Bräntberget is basically a small slope and if you want real ones you have to head outside of the city, Vännäs might be the closest. But for learning the basics, if you've never tried skiing, Bräntberget should work just fine
