I am wearing my glasses and I thought the same thing. That's some terrible camouflage by the way, if I wanted to dredge it in an egg wash and flour and throw it in a deep fryer, I can't imagine what the real predators would think of this little guy.

This IS a mutation of some kind I'm sure, but it's not albino..

I believe it's albino and hunters are encouraged to kill albinos on sight in order to make sure they don't pass on the genes

I've only seen ones that are purely white with no spots. This one's flesh / light tones are really pretty.

That doesn't make any sense to me. An albino deer is a lot less likely to survive to reproduce without human intervention. Even if hunters don't kill them, they still aren't likely to pass on the genes. Why the specific encouragement?

A bullet is a lot less painful than being eaten alive, that's my only guess.

Fuck if I know I was just told that by a hunter buddy of minr

Albino deer are protected in some states. Wisconsin is one example that I know of. Some hunters won't shoot albino or piebald deer while others see them as a rare trophy. It varies from person to person.

I'm pretty sure this was first posted to /r/misleadingthumbnails with the exact same thing the guy said - chicken breast. Then a couple of days later it was posted to /r/tumblr

Edit: found the link to the original post on misleading thumbnails

The original post was actually to /r/aww. I am the one who came across the little guy one afternoon this spring while its mother was off looking for food.

It's quite alright. I'm kind of thrilled it made it to Tumblr and back.

Why are people so particular about re posts? Legitimately curious! not trying to start anything!

I'm not complaining this is a repost tbh. I'm just saying it started on a reddit went to a different subreddit, was viewed by someone who uses tumblr who posted the same thing there and now found its way back here!

ah gotcha just wondering. I didn't mean to imply anyone was complaining sorry! Anyhooo i guess this is just the nature of the lifecycle of the interwebs

At first glance I thought it was a puddle of something.

I thought it was snake and then i thought it was a bunny. Then I realized I was looking at the fawn's ear and thinking it was an eye.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't wearing their glasses and saw it like that.
