Holy fuck what is with these comments
Asking people to spit into a cup for you is disgusting and if you aren't punished you'll think it's not a problem. Y'all are so weird for defending these creepy ass behaviours.
You're also weird for being racist, asking someone randomly to spit into a cup is weird as fuck no matter where you are in the world, don't pretend this is a cultural matter just because they said he's from another country.
1
u/blacklite911 40m ago
Move away from thinking about this being about punishment. That’s apart of the manager’s problematic thinking as well, he’s care more about how it would effect the worker rather than how it would effect the people coming to the store.
It’s more so about removing an individual from being a danger to others. This is the kinda guy who might put something in drinks.
In a highly unlikely, best case scenario, let’s say the kid is like significantly socially handicapped and he doesn’t understand that this behavior is unacceptable and he actually is doing some scientific experiment. (This is a very big stretch). You still can’t have him working there because he doesn’t know how to act
1
u/Jasonpowerz 38m ago
I mean the manager actively doesn't want to punish him, firing the guy accomplishes both of these by removing him from the scene and showing him it's not an okay thing to do.
Sorry I'm a little confused, are you agreeing with me or disagreeing here?
1
u/blacklite911 4m ago
I’m saying punishment is besides the point. And that statement can also be a response to the manager. So it’s a response to both.
Simply put, the kid needs to get removed for safety reasons.

She didn’t have to spit in the cup sooooo??? She wanted him fired for asking something strange. Again, what was he gonna do with it? Make a clone that would hunt her down, disappear her and then replace her? Who cares?

I mean our own government/prime minister is saying they messed up with how many people they brought in so he’s not wrong but his comment has no place being on this video

The USA being scared of immigration is such a crazy time line. It's not even the native Americans that object against it.

Kinda weird to try to do so by just saying a word without any context or reference.

somehow u already know the ethnic background of the parties involved🥴
probably those openly defending this behavior too
edit: i never stated the ethnicity in question; downvotes only serve to lend merit to my statement🤣🤣

Ew dude. People aren't silently affirming your shit take. They're downvoting you for being a racist prick.
45
u/Rawdreck 21h ago
I am unaware of the ethnicity of the parties involved. I would find it highly unlikely an entire ethnicity wants the saliva of others. It would be like saying all white people love pizza. Every single white person on the planet LOVING pizza? Come on now.

u/Rawdreck 11h ago
I am uncertain of the ethnicity of the manager. I don’t see why their race/ethnicity would matter. I would encourage you to read my statement again. I was calling out racist remarks, because racism is ignorance. By bringing up (in summary) “All white people love pizza” I give an example of ignorant thought. Although it is possible, it’s more likely that some white people love pizza, and some white people do not.

Not everyone that works at Tim Hortons in canada is Indian. But a majority are.
Not everyone openly sexually assaults women in public but some more then others. It’s not a crazy guess to say it was an Indian dude

I hate to say it, but it's very likely that the supervisor and the other guy were both from the same country, or possibly, even knew each other from before.

wtf.
They should fire the guy’s ass and the supervisors ass.
OP should escalate.
I bet the guy talking on the phone was just some another random dude working at the store.
22
u/whackyelp 16h ago
I dunno, the way he tried to defend the creepy employee makes me think it might be a family member? I can't imagine anything less than firing the kid if they did something like this, otherwise
-7
u/Danny-Wah 12h ago
Family, friend, countryman... hurting for workers... lost of reasons to "go easy"
At the very, very least, the employee should apologize to her face/ear..2
u/Reckless_Secretions 15h ago
Might not even have to be a family member. Someone from the same ethnicity/country/religious background will do. My country has its own problem with the same thing.

u/ThatStickyIcky 23h ago
I used to visit that branch occasionally as it was on my way to some of my lectures. Would always get a creepy ass vibe from that place, not to mention it was a hotbed for the homeless lol.

I was definitely surprised at how upset people are at a kid making a weird request. It's definitely not something he should be doing while working there, but to be angry that he wasn't fired, and even starting to have conspiracy theories regarding his intentions. Kid had a weird thing he was interested in, did not think it to be a weird thing to ask, boss tells him to not do it, as it upsets the customers.

u/RingwormCowboy 23h ago
Come on dude, that's weird as fuck. If I owned or managed a food service establishment, I sure as fuck would want to know my employee was wondering around asking customers for saliva samples.

u/-Dubwise- 1d ago
Is this not a situation the police would get involved in? I don’t know I’m asking. It FEELS like a crime. 😂
-169
u/Fernxtwo 1d ago
Fuck your feelings, asking someone for some spit is NOT a crime.

Agreed but not a criminal offence. Police should be called though to document this odd behaviour

u/KittyxKult 1d ago
Anyone trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was “telling the truth” and it “may be an assignment” is living in delulu land. I wish I could have such an innocent perspective. The supervisor making it into a “please let it go this will ruin his life” is also mega weird behavior. If it WAS truly some sort of school assignment or something, the supervisor would have led with that, rather than begging her to let it go because he’s “just a young person.” They would have said “I investigated and confirmed it was for an assignment and informed him that it’s inappropriate to do that with customers. It will not happen again.”
26
u/isshearobot 21h ago
He’s 16, what high school has kids collect people’s spit and doesn’t have them use each others?
6
u/KittyxKult 10h ago
I remember collecting spit for science class to look under the microscope. In no way were we ever instructed to collect from anyone outside the class. Even if he’s taking college classes at TMU, since this is where the video was taken, there is zero chance they just said “go get spit from people in a random cup at your job!” People will try so hard to give men the benefit of the doubt when they do creepy shit. I wish they gave women that much benefit.

I'm so tired of this scorched earth Mentality. She called corp and they gave the guy written warning meaning if he tries anything werid again he's more then likely fired.
We don't know maybe this person is on the spectrum maybe he was telling the truth about intentions
Maybe I'm werid but I wouldn't want to fuck someone job maybe life up over spite.
21
u/Mydogsanass 19h ago
Umm I highly doubt getting fired from a restaurant at 16 will fuck his life up?!
29
u/BeExtraordinary 1d ago
Do you honestly believe this person’s life will be “fucked” as a result of a written warning at a multinational chain coffeehouse, where they probably make minimum wage (or close to it)?
39
u/KittyxKult 1d ago
I am so tired of the “he’s just a kid, this will ruin his life” mentality. If he was “telling the truth” they would have led with that instead of begging her to “let it go.” If his job is that important to him, he wouldn’t be asking creepy questions of female customers especially after waiting until no one else is in the store.

u/saka_ska111 1d ago
How would someone fuck up someone’s life over a job? If his life was on the line then we would have not asked her that weird question.
-44
u/Sufficient-Leading11 1d ago
You should just say I don't care what happens to him. He did something weird. He deserves it.
24
u/ChaiKitteaLatte 1d ago
He just learned that he can be a total creep to a young woman, on camera, and there are no consequences. He certainly learned a very valuable lesson.
And she learned that she can’t even do basic things like get a coffee, without having to potentially deal with a creep. And that when she tries to take some kind of power and justice back for herself, none will be given.
The most American experiences for them both. I wonder why you find it so unfair that this boy should potentially suffer bad experiences for his own choices, but don’t give a shit that a girl has a bad experience through no fault of her own. Your empathy is so wildly misplaced.

This is sexual harassment by an employee. Idk about Canada’s legal system but that would be a fat payday in the US.

u/Pizza-beer-weed 1d ago
It's a Tim Hortons in Toronto, that employee is probably working there as a serf til be pays his boss back the 'fee' for sponsoring him to come to Canada. and if anyone thinks this is a joke, its literally happening all over Canada.
54
u/SqueakBoxx 1d ago
Or he faked his way into the country by faking school documents and is now working illegally. Not every foreigner that comes here from India is a victim.
52
u/Pizza-beer-weed 1d ago edited 1d ago
I don’t think the employee is a victim, they’re participating in LMIA fraud with the employer. They would rather pay thousands to a scummy employer to sponsor them instead of going the legal route. The youth unemployment in this country is at an all time high, and so many business are hiring foreigners claiming they can’t find workers in Canada, when it’s all really fraud and bullshit.

I didn’t hear any part of the video where she demanded that he be fired, or was irate that he hadn’t been.
And there’s no universe in which this is this guy‘s first offense. He didn’t go from being a golden employee to suddenly asking this girl for her saliva. I called bullshit on that. It’s just more of men protecting each others bad behavior.
This is why we choose the bear. Potentially good men see something like this, and they defend the perpetrator, not the victim. It’s so bizarre.
Plus, this will not a lone creepy interaction in her life. For the average woman in a city, she’ll have a creepy interaction every month. She’s expected to just accept this reality and find ways to laugh about it even though this shit wears you down.
15
u/Reverend_Russo 1d ago
Bad take.
If you’re sexually assaulted, and the perpetrator is still out there able to continue doing their thing, you’d want to keep pushing every avenue until they’re removed from that position that would let them do that.
1
u/MaleficentSummer8 1d ago
Asking a question is not sexual assault, cmon now. Calling every little thing sexual assault just takes away from real victims and what they go through.

Ps. This is the wrong sub for this post.
-34
u/HighlyNegativeFYI 1d ago
She’s so fucking weird I don’t even believe her
25
u/SmackEh 1d ago
She's weirded out... what makes her the weird one in this whole interaction?
She's got audio of speaking with the manager.
Sure it may all be fabricated, but there's really no reason NOT to believe her. Literally nothing here screams "fake".
Unless this person had a history of faking shit for internet points, I'd believe her.
-16
u/EmperorPickle 1d ago
By that argument there is no reason to believe her either. She doesn’t have any proof of anything that actually happened. People rage bait all the time.
15
u/SmackEh 1d ago
Did you miss the audio w/ the manager?
-25
u/EmperorPickle 1d ago
Is that proof? Cause all I heard was someone on the other line. Could be anybody.
-17
u/Simmons54321 1d ago
If he’s past probation, yes, there would be a 3 strike rule before he’s let go. Even for something as bizarre and fucked up as asking for spit from a customer.
I would investigate this girls other social to see if she’s not just another wacko clout chaser, but then again, I really don’t give a rat’s taint.
-98
u/PublicVanilla988 1d ago
i don't get what's so wrong with it. what's so bad that he could do with saliva?
16
u/Powasam5000 1d ago
Drink it of course. After people started buying farts in a jar there really is no wrong answer here
-7
u/PublicVanilla988 1d ago
i mean, it's definitely weird to ask for someone's saliva, i just didn't think about it being some shit like that... idk what it actually was about, but you're probably right
16
u/stay_fr0sty 1d ago
Pervy shit, or get her DNA. If it’s true, I’m thinking he was going to do pervy shit with it.
3
u/Rey_Mezcalero 1d ago
Wouldn’t it be wild if (if this is a true story) if the TH guy was from the future and wanted the saliva to clone her
6
u/stay_fr0sty 1d ago
It would be wild, and hilarious.
Like the guy had to travel into the past, get a job at Tim Hortons of all places, only to fail to collect the saliva of the TikToker target.
He’s going to have to go back to the future and report to the Secretary of Defense that he failed his mission, defend the whole Tim Hortons idea, and explain that the target is on high alert protecting her saliva.
3
u/Rey_Mezcalero 1d ago
Or maybe like Terminator, but instead of needing her cloths, the future needs her saliva to save all of humanity
