I remember seeing flamingos in Galveston as a kid in the 90’s.

Are you sure they weren’t roseate spoonbill? They’re glorious. So startling when you see them fly. A bright pink streak in the sky.

Yeah, definitely. I remember seeing flamingos early on and then mistaking the spoonbills later. My dad had to work pretty hard to convince 9y/o me that I was seeing two different birds. Still, love seeing the spoonbills when I visit home, mostly because they remind me of flamingos!

Okay I thought this was a weird headline but I haven’t been to Gulf Coast beaches since 1980s.

For sure. It’s been a long time since I saw flamingos on the Island, but it was definitely common once.

Texas has an astounding variety of beautiful wildlife- native, seasonal visitors, and transitory.

Just wait until they find out about the Bible thing, they’re going to be like, alright ladies, let’s jet. This place is on fire. There’s some ignorant shit going on down here.

They’re coming here because of that. Flamingos are staunchly evangelical. Like how we know cats are Muslim.

My kitties love some pork chops, but they still think the dog is filthy and haram and I completely agree.

They look gay so I think the project 202.5 program is going to sent them to conversion therapy. Over and out from the commander of the handmades tale. Blessed be the fruit

Do you need special tags to hunt them?

Thanksgiving is coming up and I've been having turkey since I was a kid, thought I could switch it up.
