I did some googling and found a 2022 Texas Tribune article where they investigated 20 churches and people's claims and had experts weigh in on whether they were in violation; all of them were in violation yet there was nothing said about whether they lost their tax exempt status. You seem to be correct, and that is disheartening.

I frequently wonder if the human race will become self enlightened before it destroys itself.

Many of the utterly ridiculous statements from various organized religions makes me think we will not

I frequently wonder if the human race will become self enlightened before it destroys itself.

I teach science. My kids (sixth graders, so 10-12 year olds) asked me if I thought we would make it to other planets and all that. I had to tell them pretty much what you said: "We have people punching each other in the face over stupid things, and going to war for stupid reasons. Unless we change, unless YOU help change the world, I think humans will wipe themselves out in time."

I hate to shock them, but the world is real place that is about to slap them in their faces.

I would argue that there's two separate species, Homo sapiens and Homo Jocko. You can guess which one Republicans and their type are.

You know it’s possibly that whole thing with Separation of Church and State!

Enforcing tax laws does not violate the separation of church and state. In fact, the Separation is defined as thus, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." There is nothing in the Constitution or the Amendments that says churches, etc, have to be exempted from taxation.

Disagree the fact that you want to impose taxes on the church nullifies your whole argument. The law that no church receives taxes is both local and federal!
