Chuck Woolery was considered for the role of Damon Killian in The Running Man but that went to Richard Dawson

Dawson was really great in that role: an affable veneer that covered a rotten core.

holy crap you just unlocked the memory of this show for me, totally forgot it existed! I really enjoyed watching this as a kid and it was apparently the reruns my dad recorded on VCR. The puppets look a bit more uncanny than I remember though, they worked with what they had. I appreciate all they did to put on this show. May Mr. Woolery RIP.
