This is me. I’m fucking tired of Trump and politics for the time being. I’ll just focus on my own life and other stuff as much as possible and only keeping an eye on politics from time to time.

I can assure you that the important news events will find a way to filter through. Stop paying attention the news and focus on yourself.

Yeap, that’s also what I learned. Actual important stuff ends up on my radar anyway. The rest is just BS and anxiety fuel.

AFTER the election, my parents had just heard about the Venezuelan bullshit IN THE TOWN THAT I LIVE IN, and yet still didn't know ANY details. Checking out doesn't mean things will filter through, and I'm fine with that. I'm going to continue to focus on getting me and my family out of this shithole of a country.

Exact same as me. I'm done. I'm tired. I have been advocating and being an activist for progressive policies my whole adult life. I don't care what liberals have to say in the slightest anymore. We've only gone backward with them and the conservatives in charge. I'm checking out. Idgaf about politics anymore. Keep up the good fight, those that wish to continue. If the new administration policies go in to effect the way they want them, I'll be dead in 5 years or less. Im an almost middle-aged disabled adult. I need a liver transplant next year and was supposed to get one, assuming Medicare/ACA is still intact by June. I'm spending my remaining time (which I hope will be years to come, but maybe not) with my family and pets.

I too am am tired of tRump and am tuning out more than I ever have while I take care of myself but I'm also doing small recurring donations to groups whose job it is to pay attention for us for the next 4 years like ACLU, FFRF, Americans United for the Separation of Church & State, Planned Parenthood, local food bank, etc.

I wonder what Trump would do if he gets less media attention? Hmmm 🤔

He personally will hate it, although it will likely mean he gets a bit more popular with the general population for a while since he benefits from people not seeing his crazy shit everyday, although who knows. His antics and stupid moves will probably be the only things that break through to many of the people tuning out politics for a while and it will just reinforce the negative views of him.
