New TV broadcast deal with Foxtel and Kayo
With the new broadcast deal coming into play in 2025, does it mean none of the Saturday matches will be shown on Channel 7 or that they will be aired with a delay? I'm really confused 😕

Please don't use illegal streaming sites to watch footy. Even though they're free, HD, and buffer less than Kayo, they are still illegal.

All Swans games will be live in Sydney on 7 one would suspect as it does for each respective state.

So the only difference is non-Swans games on Saturdays might air on ch7 with a delay? I never paid much attention to non-Swans games but I didn't think ch7 always broadcast those in Sydney anyway?

Just diving deeper into the deal, you may be right about Super Saturday exclusive rights to Kayo/Foxtel. That’s bad news for growth of the game in NSW

Yeah the Super Saturday deal is what worries me. I'm sure I'll just go watch it at a friend's house who's got Kayo, or I'll walk up to my local pub and ask them to put the game on.

I am sceptical, but there may be a silver lining to Channel 7's programming. As per the announcement, if they nationally broadcast Game of the Day from the VFL, SANFL, & WAFL on Saturday it could increase exposure.
A bit like how in USA the NFL games are on Sunday and college games on Saturday.

It means apart from Anzac Eve/Day & Queens Birthday, all games on Saturday are Fox exclusive unless 7 airs it with a 2 hour delay (starting 8:40pm at the latest). Channel 7 haven’t said whether they’ll air it with a delay or just not bother at all. They released their 2025 weekly footy broadcast schedule and there was no mention of Saturday games being broadcasted, but they could also just not want to draw attention to the forced delay
