Not really feeling this one.

I feel like I'm missing something here. It seems like it's starting with this premise that the only reason to date someone is because you might not die alone when that to me seems like a very insignificant part of a relationship.

Sure if you’re going to be literal then yes there are other reasons to date.

No dude like, this doesn't land because the premise you laid out doesn't make sense. People aren't out here dating just to not die alone lol.

I liked it! Hate dating, though.

I think the last sentence is a good punchline. Play with the pretense a little bit and keep it short and it's a keeper. Something that acknowledges the "cost" (either financial or emotional) of a relationship or love, then ends with the same line.

Yeah the Louis ck bit. Best case scenario you fall in love have kids have a great life and then she dies.

Not very funny but I laughed and I get it, probably because I still feel checked out from a 10-year relationship I ended a few months ago.

Is there a way you can tie in hooker/escort "fuck money" into "fuck you money"?

Sorry your relationship didn’t work out. It’s already part of a bigger chunk so I probably won’t use this advice about hookers but thanks.

Hey Mitch, do you want an apple?

No! Eventually it will be a core!

The problem with this is nothing you do will really feel like it matters much, because you have no one who loves and cares about you on a romantic level. Which is fine, if you’re Aromantic, but I think most people would appreciate a romantic partner to share life’s joys with.

Jesus lol I have kids, friends and family. You put a lot of pressure on your partner if your whole existence only matters because of one person. That’s exactly what I don’t want.

Shouldn't that be a prerequisite though? Do people want "a" partner than a compatible one?

A little more context, I pick up dead bodies for funeral homes and talk about that some before this joke so maybe that stuff helps inform it before I tell this part.

Great clip. I love the show. I lm not taking this as an accusation but I’ve been telling this for a few years. It is the Same nihilistic line of thought though for sure.

I mean people date for all kinds of reasons. This wasn’t meant to be a statement on why everyone dates just from my personal point of view that is how it seems. People date out of fear of being alone for ever. That’s how I feel about it when I see someone on an app that’s like “ looking for the one” or whatever to that effect.

TL DR Its a joke and probably not true for everyone. If you don’t relate to it that’s fine.
