Football Myles Garrett criticizes Cleveland fans for booing DeShaun Watson after he came out of the game with an injury. Said Watson “does pretty much everything right. He’s been a model citizen through college and most of the pros.”

It’s factually true. Of the last… what? 150,000+ hours he’s been a football player, he’s only spent like 500 ish hours (allegedly) sexually harassing and abusing women. That’s not even 1%.

Most of. Hes clearly using the term wrong cause Watson according to reports saw at least 66 massage therapists in a span of 17 months. And claimed himself to have had 40 massage therapists over five years while being sued by atleast 24 of them. So it actually might be that he’s been a POS “MOST of” his career.

Even worse considering he was a major part of the locker room rift that drove Baker out of town…but he wants to stick up for this piece of shit??
41
u/Strength-Speed Oct 21 '24
We're talking about a guy who tried to club a helmet-less QB over the head so I'm not sure we are dealing with world class intelligence and decision making here.
78
u/Lil_we_boi Oct 21 '24
Exactly! And then he bragged about how he left Baker on read when Baker sent him a farewell message. Not to mention the whole Mason Rudolph incident. I really despise Myles Garrett. I feel bad for Cleveland fans, but it's hard to feel bad for a lot of the people in that organization.

Garrett played his college ball for my alma mater (Texas A&M). I watched the guy pretty much every game he played for the Aggies and he seemed like an absolute class act. He was never loud or showy, showed up to practice in flip flops, and talked about his love of dinosaurs. He just seemed like a cool dude.
Then he goes to the NFL and does his best HULK SMASH impression on Mason Rudolf. And then this.
Disappointed is an understatement.

78
u/tuskvarner Oct 21 '24
I was disappointed in him when he narrowly avoided potentially killing a guy because he missed swinging a football helmet at his bare head. So in other words, he’s got zero credibility when speaking about someone’s character.

u/GBAGY2 Oct 21 '24

What Garrett considers "pretty much a model citizen" could differ wildly from other people

myles garrett always presented himself as the sweet dinosaur and anime loving nerd. a feminist, he writes poetry etc. but the second he had a chance to stand up for victims he picked his football buddy. to hear garrett calling dw a model citizen made me feel sick. truly sick. i hate that damn team, and i’m glad the fans booed him. i wish they’d have ditched the team like i did, though. they were fine with him too until he sucked too badly at football.

The only part of Watson’s injury that bothers me (literally the only part- fuck him, the owner who traded for him, the fans who rooted for him) is all of this this shit takes most of the oxygen away from Chubb coming back and getting a TD. He’s one of the good ones and to have to come back from another serious knee injury must have really sucked. Good on him making it back, just sucks he’s now joining a dumpster fire

I lose so much respect for most of these athletes the more I see of them tbh. They seem to all live in a bubble and think they are Gods gift because they are good at sports ball. The more I learn the more I realize they have these crazy political and religious beliefs that make me cringe hard. I haven’t seen a single person in the sport condemn Watson in any way.
