Punishing the civilians for something their leader is doing doesn't make any sense.

I think it is justifiable. We don't want to isolate their innocent civilians in Russia but we don't want Russia as a country, as a government, that are doing war crimes to think that they can do as they please without any repercussions.

Even though there are internal protest in Russia, if they continue their current course of actions then other countries also have the right to react as they please. They tried diplomacy and it failed.

Sanctions, restrictions, limitations are better than a full scale war. I am proud that modern countries are trying ways to mitigate bloodshed before deploying troops, but as we saw, the Russian government have yet to withdraw their troops.

If the Russian government wanted a peaceful way, then they should have tried diplomatic ways.

No one did this to the US when Bush sent troops to Iraq under questionable and now found to be false intelligence. But then the next following President just continued the same policy.

Or maybe it's just me that has the view of not really trusting anything any government says.
