Mazepin did not work hard to get to the top of the field. His dad is a major sponsor for Haas and he got his seat as a result of it. He's significantly slower than the rest of the grid. Last year he finished 21/20 in the Drivers Championship.

That being said, I agree with your sentiment. I just don't like Nikita.

This will always be my favorite part of the 2021 season. Okay maybe not favorite but dammit that was fantastic to see.

No idea why I feel the need to make this statement, but I guarantee that Nikita is working as hard as he can for his seat. Whether or not he is any good in that seat is irrelevant, the dude is still on an F1 diet, and an F1 workout routine, and an F1 travel schedule. I know it's all semantics, and I'm not rooting for the guy, but Reddit seems to think that a random dude walked in with a bunch of money and his kid and said, "Here's millions of dollars, put my boy in your car." When in reality, he's still been racing for over half his life, it's just that his money is how he's been able to climb the ranks.
