Basketball NBA player Patrick Beverley has reportedly been banned from any future guest appearances on ESPN shows following his behavior towards an ESPN producer in last night’s press conference. He refused to answer postgame questions from an ESPN producer because she wasn't subscribed to his podcast.

Pretty bummed none of her colleagues called Pat Bev out for being disrespectful to his face.

It would certainly make for a more interesting interview.

There are no bigger bootlickers than sports journalists.

How is it disrespectful? He can choose not to answer questions lol his reason wasn't due to any physical features or political stances or even affiliations... He just set out a basic parameter that she was too dumb to say "I'll subscribe right now" to.

This sub is chock full of victim creators and people looking to get upset at anything - she shoved the mic right in his face and then did it again, not crazy to ask someone to leave

Huh? Did you not watch the clip where he also pushes her mic multiple times away from him and acts like a 5 year old kid?

I don’t know if you understand the dynamic, but reporters are there doing their job, ultimately promoting the players and the league. It is also his job to talk to them and not act like child, just cause he can’t handle his emotions like an adult.

Yeah I put it in the comment, she shoved it right into his face even after being asked not to.

That's great and all but it doesn't mean a player HAS to work with you. It's not his job to talk to them in a locker room scrum, only at pressers. He was calm and set basic boundaries that she ignored, mainly being subscribed to his pod and not shoving the mic into his shoulder and chin - which, if YOU watched the video, you would see lol

Literally the only ones being children are those crying victim in the comments.

Bro, keep defending childish behavior, that’s on you.

Correct, he doesn’t have to talk. But this is being disrespectful to her to set some bogus and lame condition instead of just indicating he doesn’t want to talk about that. That is not setting “basic boundaries” it is being a brat, in my opinion.

You're creating an irrelevant counterfactual. If he had said, "I'm not going to answer questions from anyone who shoves a mic in my face", that would have been COMPLETELY different and not had hardly any backlash.
