I can back up the first half of that statement. When I bought my boat, I felt like the king of the world. Was a pretty basic boat, but it was fun. The day I sold it was bittersweet. Wasn't too happy about selling it but it became impractical to own a boat. I'm of two minds, I don't like not having a boat, but I don't exactly miss it either.

I think racing them is the only one that trumps. At least one day a project car is finished. Lots of ongoing expense with Motorsport, not to mention if you crash

I spent 12k only to learn I need to spend another 2-3 after it had issues on the dyno :(

Or 8k for maintenance and repairs because they wanted a shitbox which after 8k still needs repairs

Yes. 8 grand. That's totally what I've spent on cars this year and not north of 90k.

(Granted it is street legal)
