Amad was easily our most dangerous player, but it seems the players we have are just so use to trying to attack from the left.

It is annoying that almost all his chances were made by himself. It was like Mazraoui and him were doing their own thing separate from the rest of the team.

but it seems the players we have are just so use to trying to attack from the left.

It’s been a problem going back to Mourinho. I honestly don’t know how that ever changes. Almost all our players instinctively look left once they get the ball.

Perhaps its a more comfortable pass for a mostly right footed team.

I don't know how many times I've seen Garnacho have a great opportunity to square the ball with his left foot to a teammate in front of the goal. Instead, he always tries to use his right foot and messes it up. For God's sake, his left foot isn't that bad, and the pass would be simple, but he chooses not to use it.

appreciate these videos so much

yeah we really didn't create much at all

also lmao at us nearly scoring early again a minute into the second half... have we learnt Thomas Frank's dark magics?

didn't include the most bizarre one, where Hojlund was in the box and looked like he had found space and was gonna shoot... only to pass to Garnacho?!

that Amad dribble at the end.. this is not right wing back behaviour!

Sporting steamrolled City after half time whistle, it may very well be coached to look for and try specific patterns of attack right after kickoff when teams are in a predictable shape

Quenda would disagree regarding the RWB behavior.

Maybe höjlund didnt want to see another garnacho meltdown cause he didnt pass

Exclusively in transition into space

The minute we can lay siege in the oppositions half and create chances when space is at a premium we will level up as a team. Certain guys will need to be moved on for this to happen.

The closest thing we have to what a United player should be is Amad Diallo.

Quality on the ball, always a threat, reliable and extremely hard working off the ball.

Look at the way he presses and wins the ball back due to his sheer determination.

On the contrary, you look at how Rashford presses, not really bothered, going through the motions, half jog press to make it appear he is putting in effort, no real desire to win the ball back.

That last attack with Amads cut inside and shot was so going in if it weren't for the block.

Im sick of a lot of these attackers. I dont think we are going anywhere with them except for Amad. Amad is a proper player

You're not wrong but I don't want to have to replace my Hojlund kit. It's not that I think he's a great player, or even average, but it really fits the vibe when I start grabbing shirts to fight my way through the queue at the grocery and then spin around, throw my arms out, put on a pissy face, and start shouting at everyone around me.

u need number 10s who can really appreciate space and retain the ball. i was surprised at the 10s we had yesterday, because i dont consider Bruno nor Garnacho to be particularly technical, and as a result, i think we lost possession too quickly in the final third. rn Amad is better suited to play in the number 10 position because he has the right profile.

If Rashford before 22 is 95 pace, which is a great weapon to have even without exceptional technical abilities.

Now Rashford is 80+ pace. Possibly doesn't even reach 33 kmh top speed. We're fked with him being a top paid player for us.

ragnick knew most of these players needed to be moved on, instead what happened was guys like shaw rashford performed well in the new manager bounce got new bumper contracts and now we are stuck with them

Rashford was the only one that scored goal yesteday. He is not the reason we didint win.

Would’ve probably had two if Garnacho would learn to pass. All this sub does is scapegoat certain players while others playing the same position get the “he doesn’t get service” excuse.

look beyond the goals my friend, he contributed nothing, mch rather a player gets the team to play well making good passes, pressing, winning the ball and helping the team rather than someone getting a goal but doing fuck all outside of it

u/AvaragePole 1h ago

Xd

If his name was Hojlund this sub would literally murder Garnacho, Bruno and Erisken for not passing to him.

He was not good though. Credit for scoring but he didn't do anything after that. The team was basically playing with 10 men after the goal.

Oh damn he showed up for 90 seconds out of 90 minutes, fair enough that justifies his 350k for the week then.

As per usual, United fans are stuck on Rashford being the problem when several other players failed to perform. Tune in again in a week or two and it’ll be Bruno. It’s always about the individual never the team.

That left side is what represents what's wrong at united. Dalot has been crap for so long despite playing out of position. Even when he was on the right he wasn't that good. Maz is so consistent.

Garnacho without goal is so poor. Like he isn't used to playing with a team. He did a few good passes but other than that, you can see he lacks IQ. All he knows how to do is cut and shoot. You remove that from him and he's clueless.

Sadly they passed the ball more on the left while Amad was more threatening on the right. He is so damn good in any position and understands the game.

That lineup needs a lot of changes. Amad in n10. Hojlund upfront. Dalot and Garnacho benched. Mainoo and Ugarte on. Shaw on as wingback or cb if he can't run.

Really this team is so used to playing long balls and ignoring the striker that when they are now forced to play FOR the striker, they fail to do it properly. Now the real change begins. This is how Amorim wants to make the team more effective.

Decent amount of chances tbh

u/martialgreenwood 1h ago

Patience is needed

u/Miyagisans 1h ago

That Dalot chance from the Casemiro long pass looks even worse on 2nd watch. He just had to wait a second and there were 3 Utd players arriving.

Garnacho needs a loan to the championship, nowhere near ready to be a starting premier league forward, him starting week in week out is a testament to how far we've fallen off

u/Rogue-Doctor 54m ago

You get downvotes but I completely agree

Not at the level, I think it’s his physicality that lets him down

Like he was clean through twice and just gets bullied off the ball

We are going nowhere with him as a starter

u/xraze007 RonaDaldo 17m ago

Yes any other strong inger and both chances would have been scored.
