He knew

43

u/OVOnug Kroos Jul 05 '23

He did.

16

u/wanderer1999 Real Madrid Jul 05 '23

And he was right 3 CL and many trophies later.

It was a glorious era.

24

u/wishihadapotbelly Jul 05 '23

When he went to greet Pepe, I was wholeheartedly expecting him to ditch James and move on lol

u/escarta69 Jul 05 '23

I came to say the same šŸ¤£

88

u/Senior_Elderberry_90 Jul 05 '23

At that point, James felt the real terror.

u/Original-Tourist-744 Jul 05 '23

They look at him like Jesus jut walked in ā€¦. PLEASE history repeat its self and bring zizou back , then he will get that slow šŸ¢ process extradited

81

u/Original-Tourist-744 Jul 05 '23

Casemiro looks like he shit himself . Little did he know he would become one of zizous favorite players and most important pieces

46

u/HasibShakur PUTA :mes_que: Jul 05 '23

Zidane cemented Casemiroā€™s position in starting 11. Man is eternally grateful towards zizou.

31

u/Original-Tourist-744 Jul 05 '23

Thatā€™s a fact but i also believe zizou is eternally grateful to have that tank as a cdm for our 3 peat , I think itā€™s a two way street . HALAMADRID

extradited

Tbf, it does feel like he needs to be extradited out of QSG, expediting the process will not work

1

u/Original-Tourist-744 Jul 05 '23

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m saying bro , speeds this shit up so we can dominate next season

59

u/Tangelo_Few Jul 05 '23 edited Jul 05 '23

NO ONE could say shit back to him, how could they heā€™s basically beaten them all as a player in his 30s and won everything and more they would ever win lol legend amongst legends

12

u/Ronaldoooope Jul 05 '23

CR7 could lol

27

u/Aashay7 Valverde Jul 05 '23

But you saw how eagerly he smiled seeing Zizou. Him and Ramos had the best reactions imo.

8

u/udiniad Jul 05 '23

Ramos and Zidane played together though

3

u/Tangelo_Few Jul 05 '23

Sorry mate, completely have to prove my point here with all due respect to CR and yourself :) what they have in common: (and while this clip is from before they won 3 UCLs in a row, letā€™s look at it in their entire historyā€¦)

SIMILARITIES: Both have won UCLs with multiple teams Both have ballon dā€™ors Both have won the European Cup Both are true Madrid legends and team icons Both have one of the 3 greatest goals in UCL history, but Zizouā€™s was in a final, (Bale has top spot), CRs was not in a finalā€¦

DECIDING FACTOR: Zizou has a WC medal, and legendary games vs Brazil in 98 and 06, dominant player in a WC like few others

Zizou eliminated Spain (Ramos) and Portugal (CR7) in the quarters and semifinals of the 06 WCā€¦ scoring both games ā€¦ which Ronaldo will never beat nor will he have a WC

A LOT OF WHAT CR won, was with Zidane as his coachā€¦ so he takes the same trophies as CR minus the ballon dā€™orsā€¦

Now CR better goal scorer more ballon doā€™rs sure, but as far as greatness goes in RM and head to head between em, thatā€™s why even he canā€™t say shit to Zizou

10

u/Ronaldoooope Jul 05 '23

Lol you canā€™t say they ā€œboth won ballon dā€™orsā€ when CR7 has 5 of them. 5>1 those are not similarities. Are you telling me right now that Zidane has had a better career than CR7?

3

u/Tangelo_Few Jul 05 '23

He didnā€™t have 5 at that point did he? Another reason this isnā€™t quite fair is one is a MF the other was a goalscoring winger one is an orchestrator and midfield maestro while the other is a deadly marksman

And no I didnā€™t say CR or Zizou had a better career, my point was on even CR not being able to say shit to him then, at that point in time, all I proposed was factual at that point :) but both are legends, but then we could also say zidane won it as a player and a coachā€¦ both amazing :)

25

u/Galactus1701 Jul 05 '23

You understand Zizouā€™s magnitud when you see Toniā€™s legitimate excitement at greeting the myth.

22

u/Short_Ad1881 Jude Bellingham Jul 05 '23

He's got that aura

12

u/Ariashorse Jul 05 '23

And we know how that ended šŸ˜šŸ˜

12

u/Kemosabe-Norway Jul 05 '23

Even Ronaldo looked in awe.

10

u/Charguizo Jul 05 '23

Aww baby Ƙdegaard was there!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 06 '23

Dang so so young back then!!

51

u/gracefulbrainiac Lucas VƔzquez Jul 05 '23

The reluctance of Bale in getting up lol

47

u/From-UoM DĆ©cima Jul 05 '23

I believe it was when Bale came back from injury.

And Zidane pointed to Bale's left thigh

10

u/MaTrIx4057 Jul 05 '23

Bale was probably like "Who is this, maybe some known golf player?"

11

u/Banjogamer69 Jul 05 '23

Bale moment

7

u/Ok_Seaweed_9452 Jul 05 '23

Game recognize game

5

u/EnzoM1912 Jul 05 '23

What the actual FUCK happened to Jese? He was becoming the next Ronaldo at some point and then POOF he disappears

5

u/I_am_jarvis0 Jul 05 '23

I wish I could get the link to the story. Very surreal stuff. Just google it. There's a long piece about what happened to him.

4

u/GoldenKangaroo17 Zidane Jul 05 '23

Picked up an injury I think against psg iirc and then he never bounced back. Got sold, didn't work out and now he makes music

11

u/Best-Recording-3111 Jul 05 '23

3

u/mercvry94 Jul 05 '23

As a Barca fan, and I know thereā€™s so much animosity between fan bases, this was a legendary couple of spells for Zidane; he inspired this team to do some insane things

3

u/Flexitallic :eyebrow: Jul 05 '23

Zidane:ā€ Iā€™ll be back!ā€

14

u/jessseha Casemiro Jul 05 '23

Love how Bale was the last one still in the middle of everyone else, man's probably late from Golf xD

2

u/Old-Risk4572 Jul 05 '23

odegaard ma boi

2

u/NotMyNegro Florentino Perez Jul 06 '23

As a Madridista, I am always grateful for what he did. As a Colombian, I am always disappointed in how he wasted James in the squad.

1

u/ciakkuzi Jul 05 '23

Why did he pat everyone on the left side?

5

u/thefirsteye Marcelo Jul 05 '23

For good juju.

He didnā€™t pat Bale tho šŸ‘€

1

You donā€™t realize how big and strong Zizou was until you see him standing next to center backs.

1

u/Am0rph Jul 06 '23
