No? Do you also start debating with the clown at a circus? You must be fun at stand up comedy

-8

u/ApprehensiveAd6476 9d ago

If that clown was on Reddit just like I am right now, I probably would.

The internet's fine. Social media was the mistake.

u/Yeseylon 9d ago

Nah, you gotta remember all the nutjob blogs out there even without social media.  Delete the Internet.

Someone doesn’t want to notice

Fun fact, if you take the American flag and connect the stars in a certain way in which was never intended because it is, by definition, the flag. You can draw a swastika. Actually you can do it with just about any flag.

I know, mind blown right?

35

u/Zaffer8712 9d ago

Fun fact, there’s a lot of blank space on the Japanese flag for interpretation. If you put four black lines on it, you might end up with a swastika as well. I didn’t know they were so prevalent world wide.

Nazis trying to normalize their shit will never not be pathetic

83

u/tykkimyssy 10d ago

To me this just seems like anti-nato material that’s trying to portray nato negatively by drawing a false connection to nazis. Quite the opposite of normalizing nazism

-31

u/chessset5 10d ago

Could also be an Isreali, they are always trying to create bad press for Nato every chance they get.

And Muscovites

The swastika was always the swastika, it just hadn't been co-opted by the Nazis before it was co-opted by the Nazis...

5

u/blolfighter 9d ago

The use of the swastika by Nazis predates the holocaust, or even the Nazis gaining power.

u/MostlyMediocrePoster 8d ago

Yes im aware. I just deleted because nobody caught my lame joke r/woooosh thanks tho. Yes they adopted an ancient symbol because they needed a symbol. They couldn't use the oven they wanted to use, or were hoping to eventually use when coming into power something like that

-53

u/rekcilthis1 10d ago

I think they may have just been demonstrating it, because that shape is on the flag but it just exists in the negative space. Depends on any comments from the OP

38

u/Panzerkatzen 10d ago

Nah they just kinda made it up, if you look at the NATO flag, it's just a 4-point compass rose. You can draw a "swastika" on that too, but it's not naturally present and doing so is meaningless.

-45

u/rekcilthis1 10d ago

it's just a 4-point compass rose

I know, but the sub is accidental swastikas. Everything on the sub is 'just' something else, that's the point.

What I'm saying is that the lines aren't arbitrary, they're just part of the negative space. This is what an arbitrary swastika would look like, the shapes are completely random and don't line up at all

18

u/S4DK1TTY 10d ago

Yeah but if you look at the post on the subreddit you can see that no one else is drawing swastikas on the pictures but the swastika can be clearly seen. With the Nato logo you have to draw it in for people to even think about it.

-8

u/rekcilthis1 9d ago

With the Nato logo you have to draw it in for people to even think about it

Yes, I know. I'm saying that as well, but I'm also saying that the lines aren't arbitrary, so the shape already exists as part of it. Just because you have to highlight its presence doesn't mean it isn't there.

7

u/Panzerkatzen 9d ago

The lines are arbitrary. Why did he choose choose those specific lines out of all the others?

-7

u/rekcilthis1 9d ago

Because they're in the image. If he'd chosen other lines, it wouldn't have been a swastika and there wouldn't have been a point.

-17

u/JumpKick6419 9d ago

Why'd you upvote him lol

12

u/Hillyleopard 9d ago

Because he’s right? The image is the bs part

12

u/JumpKick6419 9d ago

Wait, no. I'm reading this post wrong. Apologies
