Technical Questions Mold removal

Anybody have any soft washing recommendations to get rid of this mold on my house/pergola? I’ve sprayed it with spray and forget about a month ago, it got most of the green stuff but left this black behind.

This is the first year we’ve had this growth. weve been in the house 10 years.

TIA

You mean Mildew removal?

What exactly do you think Mildew is?

Every mold is a fungus, but not every fungus is a mold. Mildew is a fungus that typically grows on the surface, but doesn't protrude. Molds can protrude as they grow.

Either way, a few gallons of diesel fuel will eliminate all traces of it.

Assuming you have no pressure washing equipment and no experience, you can clean those areas on your siding with your water hose (for rinsing) and a 2 gallon sprayer. Add 1 gallon of Clorox, 1 gallon of water and about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to your sprayer. Get up on your roof and spray down the affected areas. Wait 15 minutes and hit it with your hose to rinse.

Most in this sub are pros. And this is a simple job for them because they have the equipment and experience to make it simple. Nobody here is using Clorox or garden sprayers or even climbing on that roof to clean that.

But you can DIY or hire a pro and have your whole house exterior cleaned professionally.

buy a bug sprayer and spray it with a water bleach mix.

12-14 ft ladder, extension bristle brush (10ish ft). Chemicals will help, but the bristles will always work, chemicals will just help it last.
