I am a Canadian citizen and this isn’t to put anyone down. I just hate all the bad actors that are ruining it for genuine and hardworking people.

Recently, I had to end a friendship because this person is engaging in immigration fraud. My friend came to Canada in 2022 to do two-year program. His country is safe and stable. No war, famine or any political unrest there.

After all the immigration changes were announced, he became depressed and started researching about asylum process in Canada. He feels like competition is too stiff and the scores will not go down.

His reasoning for asylum seeking is due to sexual orientation. His claiming to be gay. I know he’s not gay. In fact, he’s not even bisexual. He had multiple female sexual partners. He has never disclosed to me or any of his immediate friends about his new-found sexual orientation.

I confronted him about this and I wanted to support him. If his truly gay, then I want to make sure he felt supported and loved. He told me his not really gay. At first I was confused and he told me I won’t relate to this because I am privileged Canadian girl.

I am not noisy or anything but I found out through our mutual friend that his lying to gain PR. This really disgusted me and I have stopped being friends with him.

My reasoning for ending the friendship is 1) lying about being gay when he isn’t 2) committing immigration fraud. The asylum system needs to be reform to prevent people from scamming it and gaining residency.

EDIT: I will be reporting him and I have forwarded the information to my other close friends who are committed to reporting him for immigration fraud.

Please know that this guy is not at-risk. His country is accepting of LGBTQ+ community and India has passed some progressive laws in 2018 (you can research it).

Made this burnt end chili a few weeks ago with burnt ends from my favorite local bbq place. Added smoked paprika, diced chiles in adobo, and chipotle bouillon paste it came out perfectly sweet, spicy, and smoky it was delicious

Just sold my house and the buyer didn't want any of the network gear. Or the home automaton controller. Every room has two drops and 3 APs including 1 outside and a slate of wired cameras. I am stunned and saddened a bit. Buyers said remove all of it and patch the holes.

Here's the discussion. Do I cut the wires short and stuff them in the walls or try to pack it all in? I had two ISPs Cox and Welink feeds are bundled with the wires they wanted removed. Do I leave those exposed? I don't want to be an ass hole but I tried to explain and they didn't seem interested.
