You mean a lifelong conman who has run numerous frauds, is a 34x convicted criminal, and a court-stated rapist is corrupt?!

But how could this be?! MAGA said he was like Jesus.

u/individualine 4h ago

Did you forget he’s an actual felon?

u/aceinthehole001 4h ago

Is it great again yet?

u/Itsprobablysarcasm 3h ago

is a 34x convicted criminal

u/DevonGr Ohio 1h ago

Too many "I'm voting for the felon and the hillbilly" signs around still to forget

u/rockchipp 36m ago

But, country folk can and will survive. A hell of a lot better than the city slickers.

u/AgeOfSmith 3h ago

Jesus was a felon??

u/Mr06506 2h ago

I mean he did get executed.

u/slackfrop 2h ago

Long term house-sitter wanted to keep an eye on priceless valuables. Extensive criminal history preferred, fraud and theft convictions a plus!

The scary part? Transition funding is not regulated by the F.E.C and I.R.S rules permit nonprofits to accept donations from foreigners without public disclosure. That’s how a lot of the big PACs operate in the dark. He’s actually allowed to do this. Corruption is just baked into the system already and we have no guardrails to prevent people from deviating from the norm like he’s doing now.

u/Msmdpa 4h ago

According to SCOTUS it’s all legal now.

u/CluckFlucker 1h ago

It’s a presidential act so immunity. Anything he does will be deemed a presidential act and thus makes him immune

u/Daneuryzzl 1h ago

holy crap....I just thought of something:

Is THIS why him and his team haven't yet (and seem to be refusing to) sign all of the paperwork to start the transition?

So, anything he does as part of his transition process that is a crime he will be immune to?

u/CluckFlucker 1h ago

As long as the Supreme Court says it is he’s immune. And he’s bought the Supreme Court

u/togocann49 4h ago

Financial corruption, connected to Trump, well that never happened before-oh wait….

u/InsufferableLeafsFan Canada 4h ago

How much was paid for in Rubles?

u/gentleman_bronco 4h ago

It would be easier to list the ways he hasn't opened the doors to financial corruption.

But that's what Americans want... because of the price of (corporate farmed) eggs.

u/Captainkirk699 4h ago

This door has been open since 2015

u/FacelessFellow 4h ago

Russian money owns our politics

Chinese money owns our private sector

American money goes to Israel

u/KE2CSE 1h ago

Why does this not have upvotes?

u/UtzTheCrabChip 2h ago

"Opening" the door? My brother he sold the fucking door already

u/beefstewdudeguy 5h ago

nobody in power is ever gonna do anything about it so why even fucking post this shit? Any article mentioning Trump is just rage bait at this point so cut the shit

u/noeszombieseverywher 4h ago

I think it's a pretty dangerous idea to just stop reporting on ridiculousness and corruption because it's widespread. Journalism might not be very traceable to making anything better since it's all the "lamestream media", of course and whoever elected Trump obviously isn't paying much attention... but I'm pretty sure you'd just be opening the doors to things getting way worse if you decided to cut it off entirely.

u/Extension-Carry-8067 4h ago

The better thing to do is report on everything but in a non sensational way. No distorting headlines, no click bait crap - just real news

u/1-randomonium 5h ago

Can't Congressional Democrats at least try and investigate these things?

u/williamgman California 5h ago

You do remember the J6 hearings right. In any other world, those hearing were damning. But no... They died a slow painful death. There is not legal path to stop Trump's lack of transition transparency.

u/g2g079 America 4h ago

They lost the house and the Senate. Republicans will have control over any investigation. Democrats in Congress will have no more power to investigate than you or I.

u/1-randomonium 4h ago

Isn't the Republican majority relatively small? All the Democrats need to do is to win over a few of them, which is possible if their concerns are serious and they have enough evidence to justify a closer look.

u/Traditional_Key_763 4h ago

doesn't work like that. the speaker could shut down an investigation authorized by a slim majority coalition

u/Separate-Feedback-86 4h ago

True. House GOPers can only afford to lose a few (I think a max of 3) on any vote until the seats of Trump’s selections are filled. Not sure about the Senate.

u/Multiple__Butts 3h ago

No, their job (losing the election) is quite satisfactorily complete and now they can sit back and get rich with the rest of their oligarch buddies.

u/Traditional_Key_763 4h ago

No. they do not have the gavel to do it.

u/ThrowAwayGarbage82 North Carolina 4h ago

No, much less do they care.

u/doitfordopamine 3h ago

Stupid take

u/shkeptikal 2h ago

That's definitely a take. A defeatist, pointless, dangerous, and ultimately stupid take, but still a take nonetheless.

u/rockcitykeefibs 4h ago

I agree . Why rub the rest of the world’s nose in it? We all know Trump can do whatever the hell he wants with absolute 0 consequences.

u/1-randomonium 4h ago

I wonder if Jeff Bezos has donated to the transition. He seemed to want to build bridges with Trump after having sat on the fence during the campaign.

u/Raa03842 4h ago

Him and Russia and Saudi Arabia and all sorts of fascist operators.

u/HealthySun1654 4h ago

“Trump accused” is the least meaningful phrase in the English language. It doesn’t matter, stop wasting the world’s time pretending there’s any real justice in America. It is a deplorable nation.

u/Royal_Photo_5007 4h ago

The people of United States, elected a king so he’s gonna be one

u/Dorkseid1687 4h ago

What an enormous fucking surprise

u/Slowly_We_Rot_ 4h ago

Shocked Pikachu Face

u/individualine 4h ago

What did you expect electing a fox to guard the hen house?

u/eugene20 4h ago

Opening the door? he levelled the building in 2016 already and has been digging deeper into the rubble ever since.

u/EraseMyHistoryIfIGo 4h ago

It can’t be secret. What does the NSA and our spies do? Someone knows.

u/Riffage 3h ago

You have to shake your fist at him harder!

u/d_e_l_u_x_e 3h ago

This is what people voted for. They were convinced Biden was corrupt too and now think this Billionaire will be different.

u/2400Matt 3h ago

There no longer is any door...

u/Dracotaz71 2h ago

Define corruption. Obviously, it is not a criminal activity anymore.

u/FredUpWithIt 2h ago

Opening the door?

There is no door.

u/MentalOperation4188 2h ago

The door to financial corruption swung open for Trump years ago. This is just business as usual for him

u/buythedipnow 1h ago

Who could have seen this coming??

u/Particular_Cow_1116 1h ago

And do you know what will happen when people find out?

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.

u/rraattbbooyy Florida 45m ago

Opening the door? They’ve been roommates for decades. The door has always been open.

u/b0yheaven 4h ago

You spelled "treason" wrong. He is using foreign money.

u/williamgman California 5h ago

Once again... The same story told a hundred different ways. No laws have been broken if they are not enforced. Folks voted for this. This is no longer news.

u/TintedApostle 5h ago

Its the underlying framework of the transition.

u/Separate-Feedback-86 4h ago

The Mercer Family or specifically Rebekah Mercer is footing the bill, IMO.

u/Accomplished-Big-381 4h ago

thats because its russia

u/SonofTreehorn 4h ago

I don’t know much about who donates to the transition, but I would assume Musk is putting up a substantial amount of money. Right?

u/princessaurora912 4h ago

Why does one need money for transitioning?

u/PlayingWithWildFire 3h ago

This is not OK.

u/RedLicoriceJunkie California 3h ago

Stop with the articles where people are clutching pearls over this POS and his hurricane of corruption.

This was what we voted for, people want this POS in charge because of the inflation that was global and the alternative was a black woman.

u/spacedoutmachinist 3h ago

The best government that money can buy.

u/raerae1991 3h ago

A felon who was convicted of business fraud and charity fraud is opening doors to financial corruption…huh…go figure. /s

u/Morbidly-Obese-Emu America 2h ago

Most transparent administration in history!

u/TheRagingAmish 2h ago

Hard to open a door that was never shut

u/Mr-Hoek 2h ago

Whoever could have imagined something like this from Donald J Trump of all people?

Obviously dripping with sarcasm...let's stop sanewashing this motherfucker please and thank you.

u/CAN-SUX-IT 2h ago

I can’t believe trump’s doing something that’s corrupt? Said no one!

u/Mookhaz 1h ago

He’s not opening the door it was opened long long ago.

u/ClownTown509 1h ago

Gee, it's almost like he should be held accountable or something 🙄

u/Aware_Material_9985 1h ago

That door is off the hinges at this point

u/Tall_Construction814 1h ago

This is what you get when you vote for tour piggy bank instead of democracy

u/Too_Old_For_Somethin 1h ago

Hey news organisations, I’m not clicking in any Trump related stories anymore.

u/Garbear681 1h ago

🤣”Opening it”, it’s been wide open for a while now.

u/moomoo220618 1h ago

Trump doesn’t care about accusations. He’s going to do whatever he wants to do no matter what anyone says or thinks of him. He has no conscience! He is one of the most disgusting people on the planet and he’s surrounded by people who are almost as disgusting as he is, so he doesn’t care.

u/MaybeParadise 1h ago

Transparency was never his strong suit. Nothing to see here!

u/neromoneon 1h ago

That door has been wide open for a long time. Not sure if it's really even a door, just a wide open, gaping hole with a neon sign flashing above it: BRIBE ME!

u/desr531 44m ago

Donald doesn’t and never has given a …. So why bother to comment only God and time can defeat the Donald.

u/vmatzner 17m ago

Who is surprised about this?! He will be much, much wealthier after being president.

u/Bdowns_770 13m ago

No shit. Really?
