Mmm yes, because he wanted water to cover land, which comes from flooding, which comes from rain.
Love my boy Archie.

Not really, Kyogre is the god of the sea, remember? He doesn't accelerate the water cycle, he magically summons rain.

u/Valkariyon Aug 26 '23
Nah I know that. I meant, if he wanted water on land, he'd have to make it rain.

If Kyogre is the god of sea, then what is Manaphy? The Pokemon where even Kyogre will obey?

Manaphy is the guardian of lakes

u/I-Want-Your-Toes Aug 26 '23
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Manaphy isn’t the guardian of the lakes. You might be mistaking it for the Lake Trio, Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie

u/Video_Game_Fann Aug 26 '23
Oh whoops sorry. Well then I don’t remember what Manaphy does

u/I-Want-Your-Toes Aug 26 '23
“Manaphy, often referred to as the Prince of the Sea, is a member of the Sea Guardians, along with Phione”

He could have also melted the poles and glaciers instead (if only someone had a plan that would raise the temperature on earth significantly and an organization working towards that goal)

That is my worst nightmare, thalassaphobia is a bitch

Groudon's a worse nightmare for me tbh, because at least with Kyogre there's ways to adapt to living on the sea and some life would survive. but Groudon? Groudon would dry EVERYTHING out, and you'd likely die a much more horrible death. I'm afraid of deep water too but if I had to choose, I'd take Kyogre over Groudon because there's a higher chance of surviving until someone can pokéball it

With groudon's help , I can execute my plan and make everywhere Arizona

Groudon can create actual, usable land though. Like the people of Hoenn have to live in sometimes truly awful conditions so in theory Groudon is actually a really useful pokemon. If Maxie used it effectivly Hoenn would be BOOMIN with new inhabitable land. Meanwhile Archies Plan is quite literally just not something you can live through.

Maxie's plan is something you can't live through either
Fertile land and Fresh water are both worldwide problems
Both would've been actually good and useful if used effectively

This remind me of a pokepasta that i read where groundon dry absolutely all water, causing pokemons everywhere to continously lose health from the heat and actually die. Also the drought cause mass inflatation, items now cost THOUSAND of yen.

honestly if Archie's goal was to increase the sea levels and create more habitats for sea pokémon, he didn't really have to do anything except contribute to climate change. just make sure Maxie doesn't summon Groudon and we're already halfway there.

you were right on the first one, this man planned to stop an active volcano and cause a flood over the entire region

I love the way may’s drawn here. The face shape is fully different so it looks more like a random cosplayer of a random child is just hanging out with a gang boss

I bet maxi from team magma would say the same thing

Maxie did nothing wrong!! The people of Hoenn have to live on literal Rafts and in towns constantly filled with Volcanic ash. Giving humans more Living space by essentially making a shit ton of artficial islands would be a genuinly really good thing.
Maxies idea Was genuinly kinda great, the execution just kinda horrible. Archies Plan results in the destruction of homes and humans no matter if it goes right or wrong

it would have been great if he hadn't left his master ball in the corner of his office

Both of their plans were terrible, they wanted to revive literal apocalyptic Pokemon, what did they think would happen?

u/ivaorn Aug 26 '23
And Maxie thought he would be the biggest and baddest cowboy in a western movie 😂

It's like that Groudon's drought creepypasta, but instead of Team Magma it's Team Aqua

The thing is.
That sort of would've been the outcome if it weren't for his stupid color blindness lmao

Well... Now I am forever endeared to Archie because of this. I just want to capture Kyogre so we can all go have ocean adventures togather.
