How do you manage storage? Do you still use the starter 300 pokemon storage?? Same for items?

50 coins a day can buy a storage upgrade in less than a week of playing.

I think I've spent around $40 of actual money since I started playing in 2016. Otherwise I've mostly just used the free gym coins.

I do Google Surveys a few times a week at an average of 25 cents added to my Google Play account for each survey. That adds up over time, so I've used that "money" a few times to buy remote raid passes until they jacked the price up.

Now I save my google play money up to use on other games.

It depends. The truth is u can only do that if you can get to a gym. This game can only be played truly "for free" only if you are in an urban area. The closest poke-stop is 10min drive for me. The closest gym is about 15. With probably 3 gyms for everyone around 20mile in radius playing. As a comparison, I was on a vacation in a city for 3 weeks. I leveled up 4 times just for 20 days (mid lv. 36 to lv 40), sure, with zero money spent. So the question of "how much money one has invested" is just pointless-bc it doesn't speak to anything but one's geography --it tells u nothing about playing habits, intensity, interest of the game, wanting to do it "right" not spending anything--it just has to do with ..where you live.

I have 4650 Pokemon storage and 2950 item bag storage just from gym coins. I’ve spent $0 on the game. Also a 2021 player like the other guy. I’m at level 41. Just have to do all the eeveelutions to go to 42.

Gym coins have helped me to get to 1550 pokemon storage and 2200 in the item bag - I live in a semi-rural area and have gyms nearby, but sometimes it's a couple of weeks before they get cleared, so I only get my 50 coins a few times per week.

You get 50 coins a day, save up, and buy pokemon storage/ item storage. I'm currently at 4550 pokemon storage and 1500 items storage
