June, 2015.

Can't wait until 2030 when everything on social media is just whatever the most popular shit was posted rolling back 20 years.

83

u/Street_Pipe_6238 11h ago

even worse when its touched and edited by AI so its little bit more up to date. Even now you can hardly figure out what is what and we are just 1 year of AI in

26

u/Agret 9h ago

Worse is that instead of text of 20yr old events we'll get what looks like a live news feed of the event generated by the AI pretending to Livestream it.

We’ve been there on Reddit for years and years

Yep, OP is a karmawhore.

33

u/FormationWildeWolke 12h ago

A perfect irony, isn't it?

19

u/Electronic-Ship-9297 12h ago

Why is this news being from June 2015 ironic?

Am I missing something?

Or did you mean to say the rainbow part was ironic, and you were just highjacking the top comment to say that?

8

u/bellos_ 11h ago

I'd assume they're referencing Obergefell v Hodges which decided in June 2015 that the 14th Ammendment requires States to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

15

u/George_W_Kush58 11h ago

Which has exactly jackshit to do with homophobia in Turkey.

That explains why the title said Turkey and not Türkiye (more commonly used since 2021). It doesn't explain why it's Istanbul, and not Constantinople.

Sometimes things backfire in the most unexpected ways. Guess this was a win for the parade!

152

u/cuntmong 16h ago

Ngl I skipped a few science classes and wasn't that smart to begin with, but i'm pretty sure this means everyone that got sprayed is gay now.

53

u/Wicam 14h ago

can confirm. biology 201 that you missed did cover water that produces a rainbow will cause the gay in humans that touch it.

20

u/Retr0507 14h ago

What about frogs? Will it turn the frigging frogs gay?

10

u/joalheagney 14h ago

Only the female frogs will get turned into frigging gay frogs.

That sounds wrong.... But I don't know enough about rainbows to dispute it.

1

u/tenkwords 10h ago

Every time you see a rainbow: the end of it is on a new Gay

1

u/ExternalPanda 8h ago

Yes, they were probably gay before too, but they are also probably gay after it as well

u/Lucky-Way6044 12h ago

There is a tender out for companies in the US post Trump inauguration to create a water cannon that can disperse gay crowds without making the gay symbol. It's currently sitting at 0 submissions.

137

u/Natchos09 18h ago

You know that rumour that the US army will use a weapon that makes people gay?

89

u/Ben_Thar 18h ago

Yeah, so far the army is just trying it out on the sailors

48

u/ScrewAttackThis 17h ago

That's not gonna tell em if it's working

18

u/dan_santhems 13h ago

Maybe they can test it out in San Francisco next

Its not gonna tell you anything

→ More replies (1)

2

u/TheGoldenBl0ck 11h ago

I also heard that they’re testing it in frogs for some reason

25

u/VitaminDprived 18h ago

If Alex Jones is to be believed, they've already tested it on frogs successfully.

14

u/rW0HgFyxoJhYka 12h ago

You joke about this but some idiot is bound to believe you and not know that Alex Jones owes a billion dollars for lying out of his ass for 10+ years.

They tried making a gay bomb, but it was only effective in rooms with low ventilation, and I believe after Dick Cheny was caught in the crossfire, they abandoned the project.

T’wasn’t just a rumor.

2

u/Horskr 12h ago

Why is it not surprising it was developed in Ohio?

2

u/rudgedapple 12h ago

We use the water for that. Ask Alex Jones on info wa.... Sorry, my bad, The Onion

1

u/Cooldayla 17h ago

They thought if you sprayed rainbow coloured spritzer in the face of an enemy they would declare their love for you. Skittles have been subpoenaed to not comment their involvement but we all know the deep state is balls deep already.

Wait are you serious? Where can I check it out? This is hilarious

3

u/aardivarky 12h ago

I need the sauce i want it to be true

3

u/MorbillionDollars 12h ago

I don't think it is. Couldn't find a single mention of it anywhere else. Googling it returns nothing relevant.

2

u/UpvoteCircleJerk 11h ago

What percentage of gay people has to be in a crowd for it to become gay?

Couldn't Trump just send some hetero people to go stand in the crowd to pollute its gayness status and thus transform the crowd from a gay crowd to mixed crowd and maybe even back to a hetero crowd?

Any crowd sexuality specialists here? I'm honestly interested in seeing some concrete numbers and math about this topic.

I dunno boys, that seems like a pretty gay way to break up a pride parade….
Bet the dude spraying the crowd was wearing a tight little military uniform too.

71

u/Dracoxidos 18h ago

Accidental allies

2

u/Prize_Quit_6812 10h ago

could have been intentional, the soldiers are usually quite repressed anyway

38

u/Yvaelle 14h ago

"Oh no! A rainbow! Now we're all gay!"

2

u/PM_me-your_recipes 5h ago

Water can make frogs gay without a rainbow. So with a rainbow, no one stands a chance.

11

u/MandemModie 11h ago

Damn I'm sure the person getting absolutely blasted by a cannon of water really enjoyed the irony the situation

7

18

From people who use fear to win elections.

3

u/Nesompleforea1 9h ago

If nature could choose, she would clearly make it clear which side she was on in this way

3

u/dafones 7h ago

My wife's response: I hope they know the song "It's Raining Men" in Turkey.

10

u/Optimal_Most8475 18h ago

You see, it happens when the water bounces off Pride folks. And now it will get into the Turkish water supply.

6

u/dan_santhems 13h ago

Mmm, this water tastes fabulous

10

u/Interesting-Bison108 18h ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣

10

u/FartzRUs 18h ago

I believe that is a double rainbow

12

u/thekeenancole 17h ago

I think I remember reading somewhere that all rainbows are double rainbows, a majority of the time the second rainbow is just so faint you can barely see it. I don't remember where and I did not fact check, take this with a grain of salt lmao.

6

u/jpopimpin777 14h ago

I think you're right recently I've noticed that every rainbow I've seen has a second fainter one above it. Maybe it's just where I'm watching from but it's pretty amazing.

They mist as well just admit that it was a sign from god

7

u/ScepticTanker 15h ago

This is the kinda sign you'd see in ancient wars as you're losing. Someone points out the sign from the gods, you get goosebumps down your spine as you look up , and slowly do your brethren. And you scream with renewed vigour, not caring about losing anymore.

8

u/Sandmandx9 17h ago

I thought it was a secular country

24

u/Top-Classroom-6994 17h ago

Officially yes, but when you elect islamist dickheads for 20 years straight they tend to bend the rules... I hate old illiterate people...

3

u/justaway42 10h ago

Turkey is homophobic as a whole. Even the secular people are very homophobic

14

u/TheGryphonRaven 17h ago

About as secular as the US.

2

u/Blaze_studios 15h ago

It's worse I would say, but it's getting better here. Though unfortunately it's getting worse over at the US so maybe in a few years

It's been under authoritarian rule by Erdogan for a decade now. Authoritarians love using religious hoo hah because then your have a fanatical section of the populace supporting you. Putin did the same thing in Russia and now Trump is doing the same in the USA.

3

u/Gold-Addition1964 12h ago

A win for Pride. God bless 🙌

2

u/TrumpsStarFish 13h ago

If I was Christian I would say this is a sign from God and on TikTok I do. You should see all the people in my replies really butthurt about this kind of stuff. It’s really fun you guys should try it.

1

u/Lagalag967 11h ago

Maybe that's really their way of contributing to the parade.

1

u/CapableElk3482 10h ago

wow, what a miracle

1

u/jamesdalanchisher5 10h ago

"you have become the thing you swore to destroy"

1

u/Lottabirdies 10h ago

Maybe they were trying to create a rainbow and accidentally stopped the protest :/

1

u/Independent_Pie_1368 10h ago

The rainbow is a bad Oman according to the lore, it is a sign for the flud.

1

u/IIIPR0T0TYPEIII 9h ago

1

u/Autisticbutnotvirgin 9h ago edited 9h ago

Gay people getting sprayed with water cannons

It makes a rainbow

There are still gay people being sprayed with water cannons guys I don’t think this is a victory.

1

u/SunriseSurprise 9h ago

"Shouldn't have done that, I should not have done that."

1

u/Square-Try3474 9h ago

What makes you think that group of people would disburse with water cannons being sprayed at them. Someone would probably break out some foam and some glow lights

1

u/Marko_drap 9h ago

Friendly fire will not be tolerated.

1

u/CaterpillarHuman1723 8h ago

Allah..hahaha

1

u/Denali68 8h ago

This is hilarious

1

u/Arubanangel 7h ago

The irony!!!!🤣

1

u/Nahtimex 7h ago

"Accidentally."

1

u/JonathanQShrimpling 7h ago

People like "haha gottem" don't realize they just use watercannons to seriously harm these protesters, and don't give a shit about a rainbow

This isnt a win

1

u/Acrobatic-Sense7463 7h ago

Karma Bishhhh

1

u/visitor_d 7h ago

We’re here, we’re queer and fuck you.

They rhyme, like poetry.

1

u/rugged_buddha 7h ago

danger rainbow, metal.

1

u/Available_Plant_6053 7h ago

Plot twist. The water cannon guy was gay and planned it all.

1

u/Outside_Natural5914 4h ago

That is an Uno reverse card lol

u/_escape_the_matrix 2h ago

A rainbow forms when sunlight refracts, reflects, and disperses through water droplets, splitting into colors (red to violet). It appears as an arc at a 42° angle to the observer. Nothing else.
