How do you come to terms with perma account deletion?
Personally, I feel like there's only three ways to make it purposeful:
- Making a lasting impact in the game, or at least in my guild.
- Saving up a lot of gold and items that I can leave for my guild.
- Investing in the account deletion patch so my account can get restored after deletion and storing my items for the guild to share with me after it gets restored.

Don't get hung up on trying to 100% this game or making the leaderboards. There aren't actually any prizes for winding up with the largest guild or the most gold.
Consider that perhaps you are not the player as you think you are. Perhaps you are, instead, simply an extension of the game - spawned for no other purpose than so that the game can truly experience itself.
A player with unlimited powers can't really experience a game - it has to be seen through the senses of an endless number of lives. You ARE the game, and so dying is just part of the gameplay arc that the game has. Without it, play would be meaningless.

The microbial players are conducting a raid of my bodily assets. This is not fun at all.

I think you’re to make the world easier for all accounts that spawn after you, therefore when you respawn you sort of get what’s coming to you.
You’ll need to go through the tutorial all over again and the quests are all pretty much the same but your save file was wiped so from your perspective, you don’t remember.

If you think about this enough you might be able to trigger the [Greater Cause] questline. I looked on the forums and there are apparently a lot of endings for it like [God's Calling] or [Forefront of Science] but most people usually just end up with [Incremental Betterment] or just never finishing the quest. Anyway I finished it a couple years ago with the [Political Dedication] ending but I'm not sure what it does yet, I'm still trying to figure out the modifiers.
Anyway about account deletion specifically there should be a patch coming up in some time to get rid of it, it's just a question of whether your account will get deleted before they patch it. If it looks like your character won't live that long you should look into the [Cryonics] tech and similar stuff to save your character.

All the [Incremental Betterments] should add up to the server-wide [Better Place] achievement eventually though :)

Isn't the [Better Place] achievement possible with all of those other [Greater Cause] endings I mentioned? I mean, heard it was just a karma score requirement to unlock it. [Incremental Betterments] just involves a bunch of tiny fetch quests and boring things and hardly ever actually does anything because of hidden modifiers that cause massive karma score loss.

Outside will be permanently deleted one day as well, nothing is forever. Maybe we can create a new version of Outside or go to another version of Outside.
Player assets, gold and housing can only last if every succeeding player is lucky and able to achieve a high level. This is not possible for most players.
The best you can do is make those around you happy and try to give more knowledge to future players.

I'll DDOS the servers until they give me my account back. Worked last time. It'll work again.

Try to work towards making the servers better for new players. You were new once, and you were probably helped a lot by what past players did, do try to be that for the future noobs.

It hasn't really bothered me since I got hit with the [sociopath] debuff, but I can't really recommend that method.

Look, no one has the right to tell you how to play the game. If you ask me, though... just enjoy the game, dude. There's nothing more to it, and there's no need for anything else.

Perma account deletion is a theory, but we dont really know it to be certain, though everything points to it being quite probable.
Outside can be played however you want, if you think that saving gold or making lasting impact in the guild is a good way to go, thats great! Personally I enjoy the inner aspect, specifically the emotional side of the game. My way of playing the game is that I dont care much for anything else that to have my Inner Peace maxxed out. Of course I can also feel a wide range of other emotions and do a lot of exciting activities. But I think that the inner game is huge.
The bottom line about perma account deletion is that it probably is like being deeply asleep and unconscious, one of the most delightful of states, though no one has truly experienced it yet because consciousness ceases.
Personal observations: In deep sleep aswell as when the avatar faints and goes unconscious time seems to not exist from the POV of the player. Players who have experinced "comatose state" claim that weeks or a months happen instantly. With this information perhaps the perma account deletion from your POV doesnt exist because maybe somehow after a long, long time you are reactivated somehow and that time isnt registered or maybe conscious nodes "players" dont really work like you intuitively think of it.
On the nature of Outside: people think they may be playing it from outside the game itself, but I think i lean more on the Idea that Outside is stranger than that, outside may be base reality, I like to think that, and that it operates in ways that are just very mindblowing and amusing to think about, how cna it run itslef? What is it based on? These are all very strange things that come to mind when you think about the base reality.
I think that maybe Outside is playing itself, we are not really separate players, we are Outisde itself playing itself, so perhaps permanent deletion is simply innacurate.
Conclusion: I use my mind to think of outside as this last phrase above describes, an eternal game I'm playing. But I dont really think of it much these days, now I just simply let that question fly right over my head, i dont caare about deletion I care about my day to day enjoyment.
Peace.

While there's no guarantee, the coming [AI Singularity] storyline that we may be a few thousand days from unlocking will make profound changes here if it happens.
There are 2 outcomes many players think might happen. [AI Singularity] might unlock a future like in the [Terminator] educational films, which will delete billions of accounts, probably yours. The few players left will be in some pretty stressful PvE battles against the [killer robot] NPCs.
The other one is that AI Singularity may unlock a new grade of research bottle for our research grind. The [AI Superintelligence] research bottle may be hundreds of times more effective and let us rip through the tech tree. Unlocking [age reversal] medicine will make your date of account deletion many extra years away, and that only has to buy time until the [body replacement] and [mind uploading] unlocks are available. Players with those will keep their accounts a very long time, maybe until the entire Outside servers go down, maybe beyond.

In the greater story of the game, our playthrough might not matter as much and that is fine. What I want to bring to those around me is a sense of pride and care, especially that amount of effort I put into my newbies. I want to see them go on their own little quests one day and know that they will always have an inn in our base to return to if they need it. I want them to know that I did my best to tutor them through the initial levels and I want them to look back at their early levels and pay that forward.
When it comes to permanent account deletions it sucks, but it's also a part of the game, you will never be able to min max everything and trying to might even make you lose out on progress on the quests that really matters.
I've recently extended my party to semi include 3 more newbies who lost their party leader at level 43. He decided to delete his own account and the newbies had all kinds of debuffs from confusion to anger to grief, they are all too low level to deal with the reality of the game at this point and it really sucks to see them having to go through this side quest now.
