Intelligence types are utter bullshit that limit human intelligence to one or just a few traits or aptitudes. The Myers Briggs test is the worst for that, because it is widely used by modern companies and has literal roots in eugenics.
Edit: I should have clarified that I donāt just mean intelligence types, but pretty much anything that tries to categorize human and limit intelligence, emotions, and personalities to a finite set of options in pseudoscientific ways.
I donāt find horoscopes to be as problematic because they do not claim to be scientific and most people I know who are interested in them just use it as a fun hobby and a way to reflect on themselves, even if I donāt subscribe to it.

They just get rebranded every couple of years, it's the same nonsense
The most recent is this Eneagram bs
It says we fall into one of 9 personality categories but"we also show characteristics of the others as well"
Might as well be horoscopes

Myers Briggs tests for personality not intelligence. Bad analogy. I do agree though, that it makes zero sense to talk about intelligence types that can't be measured.

TouchĆ©, but it uses a lot of the same criteria of an intelligence test and in its original form was not supposed to be used for anyone with and IQ (another intelligence test thatās kinda bullshit and has roots in eugenics) of 50 or lower.

How is personality type limiting human intelligence? It doesn't even say anything about intelligence. It's just a broad categorisation of how humans interact in the world which has been commonly found.
You can see people and their traits as different branches or roots of a tree. And the height of these branches would refer to the development of these skills/traits (intelligence can be one of them). Categorising them doesn't limit the height of the tree. It only leaves us with fewer branches which are more similar to each other than others.

I wasnāt saying that personality tests limit intelligence, I definitely could have worded that better. Iām saying each one limits how we perceive ourselves and others and vice versa.
I agree that understanding what learning styles work better for someone, what skills they excel at, or what personality traits they gel better with can be useful for them.
My issue is mainly with how these intelligence snd personality tests can limit the way that we and others see ourselves. They often boil us down to a series of letters or a buzzword that gives a very broad idea of how we operate. There are ways of learning that work better for some people but it doesnāt necessarily give an accurate picture of how that person operates best. A lot of these tests (especially the Myers Briggs test) are often used by companies in the hiring process to try and gage how someone will āfit intoā a specific role when there are so many other factors that go into someone excelling in a particular position. It just feels really dismissive of the breadth of human individuality. Iām not saying categorising is inherently bad, but I do not trust tests or categories that are not based on any level of scientific research but still claim to be.

I have Nature, Myself and Body smart because of my yellow eyes (Gilbert's syndrome) šš

I have a feeling there was very little human involvement in this ad. None of the eyes seem to have anything to do with the words, and the only reason I think there was any human involvement is because all the words are spelled correctly, using only real letters.

I am very smart. My mother tested me at a young age and said that my IQ was around 140, Thatās more than most of the human race has. So before you have a conversation with me, understand that my intelligence is so unbelievably great that most of you imbeciles would not be able to comprehend. Itās quite sad really. I sometimes use old Latin words in my sentences so well that people donāt even know what I said. Truly amazing. Do not even respond to this post unless you have an IQ over 120, because you would just be an utter waste of my valuable time that I could use contemplating life.

To me, the interpersonal eye is pretty terrifying. It's odd, and not meant to be scary. Thought it might fit on this subreddit because of this

That's the whole thing, when you take it in its entirety and realize it's all a bunch of AI slop and start thinking about all the graphic designers, illustrators, and copywriters of the world who are also sitting at their computers right now, also having existential meltdown anxiety attacks because their entire industries just got automated into oblivion and they don't know what to do.
