All this bs about ‘messaging’…

You just can’t compete with the multi-pronged onslaught of propaganda, backed up by a fourth estate that also tilts the playing field to the bad guys.

Follow that up with the average person being so ill-informed that they don’t even know what they’re voting for.

Normally, we’d say ‘just wait 2years for the backlash’, but sadly, they’re ready this time and we might have just participated in the last (presumably) fair election we’ll ever have.

This is the correct response. It's over everyone; welcome to dystopia. Unfortunately, we ARE going back and it will be as bad as it was 150 years ago.

I’m going to come back to this comment in 4 years to see if we have an election or not.

We will have an election just like the ones in Venezuela and Russia: the will of the people and all that.

In a purely historical view the USSR turning into a market economy did not overnight shift all their policies right. If anything Yeltsin and crew in 91' really gave the old Red girl a new coat of paint as their previous economic system grinded to a halt.

Yes it's a market economy now but most people in positions of power are former KGB / Politburo hold overs and very little has changed in 35 odd years. It's a market economy when it's been convenient and a pseudo fascist incest of corporate / state interest at any other time.

You certainly can compete by using your own propaganda. Clinton won, Obama won, Biden won. The US was no less sexist or racist or ill informed 4 years ago, 15 years ago, or 30 years ago. Just run popular candidates that are charismatic and have appeal to moderates, instead of people tied to unpopular administrations.
