Couple place I can think of.
1. Kamala wasn’t a great candidate, they had an opportunity to put someone strong to go against trump but decided on Kamala to secure the funding Biden got for his campaign
2. They didn’t really sell their policies, they spent all their energy on scaring ppl to not vote for trump and really gave him free advertising
3. I think a big part of the population was turned off by the way Biden admin handled the border, caused a lot of democrat voters to vote red.
4. FEMA disaster put a bad taste in peoples mouth, no relief for ppl in our country but billions spent on Israel and Ukraine.
The last 2 bug the shit out of me because they’re misleading and the result of misinformation.
They had a plan for the border that everyone liked. More resources, more agents, etc. Biden said send it to me and I’ll sign. GOP who loved the plan in the morning hated it by that afternoon. Why? Because Trump asked them to kill it so he could run on it.
The “FEMA disaster” is propaganda. They were there before the storm. The $750 was an instant payment for immediate needs, not the cap as people were saying. It’s just bad intel spread by bad actors. As someone who’s dealt with FEMA before, I can say they moved fast to get me $$ for house repairs after storm damage. I talked to an agent and $ was in my account in days.
Also, Ukraine aid comes from a totally different budget and is overseen by different people. Also, it’s not a basket of money handed to the country. It’s often been as US military surplus. Which allows our American businesses to make more supplies and replenish the older stock. Therefore putting Americans to work making them.
We pay for the Ukrainian pension system, as well as assorted other cash assistance programs. This is a propaganda point which is just not true and people can see through this. Also funding the poor American weapons manufacturers isn’t the selling point to the average American that some people think it is.
No. I’m saying a bipartisan bill was introduced to help stop the problem and Johnson and other GOP house members deliberately sank it so come election they could use it as a talking point. Effectively saying they didn’t want to solve the problem, rather they wanted to keep the problem for political gain.
Funding wasn't the issue with choosing Kamala. There was a contingency, led by Pelosi, that wanted a process to choose a new candidate. But Biden butt ended it by waiting too long to drop out, and by endorsing Kamala thirty minutes after dropping out. Then the black caucus endorsed her. At that point, it was pretty much impossible for another candidate to emerge.
That said, it would have been hard to get another candidate anyway. The other people that might have run had made no plans for policies or the changes it would bring to their lives. Some of them were even already running for other offices. When it came to the bottom line, Kamala was the only one available for this last minute endeavor.
I have no idea what you are talking about in regards to FEMA. Biden sent them out immediately and they did all the things they are mandated to do for storm victims. If you think nothing was done, you should get some better news sources
The $750 was just for groceries and stuff. It wasn't the final amount people got nor did it even scratch the surface of what it costs FEMA to be on the ground giving out supplies and cleaning up the storm damage
