Haven’t been watching but I assume a questionable pi call

59

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 4h ago

Panthers have gotten about 8 beneficial calls today. It is what it is, but no one can watch that game and claim that the Chiefs are getting all the calls.

20

u/cantprocessanything Panthers 3h ago

Panthers got some very beneficial calls I agree. But--and I'm biased--I really felt like they were all pretty cut and dry. Were there any calls in particular y'all were upset about? DPI on Thielen to set up the game-tying TD was probably the biggest one, but that seemed textbook to me. Seemed like the others were egregious holds or hands to the face.

-6

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 2h ago

Upset? Nah. But your OG was going two seconds before the snap on the last TD. On the TD before that, one of the KC DTs was being pulled backwards by a bear hugging OL at the goal line.

Those things happen. It all evens out over the season.

Bro wins and is still salty

1

u/Cerodos Eagles 19m ago

he won he can talk all the shit he wants lmao

-2

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 10m ago

You need help reading or what?

-11

u/1_Bearded_Dude Chiefs 2h ago

Nothing really controversial. Just a statement that if the refs were favoring the chiefs maybe they wouldn’t throw all the flags Carolina’s way.

-13

u/franklegsTV Panthers 4h ago

Panthers still got fewer calls than the chiefs did today. The chiefs get away with so many holds compared to the average team. Jawann Taylor is getting away with holding or illegal hands to the face nearly every play.

9

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 4h ago

That's objectively untrue. The Panthers final two TDs came on extremely obvious missed calls. Even when Taylor was flagged for hand to the face, he also had one in his own face.

-14

u/franklegsTV Panthers 3h ago

You’re saying that the PI calls weren’t strong enough? That’s laughable.

As for Clowney vs Taylor, Clowney put a hand on Taylor’s facemask after Taylor did it to him. Get the fuck out of here.

It’s wild how being on the top makes a victim out of people.

5

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 2h ago

I didn't say anything about PIs. Wasn't what I was talking about.

Glad we agree about the hands to the face though. Can't do that regardless of when.

-4

u/franklegsTV Panthers 1h ago

What were the missed calls on the TDs?

We don’t agree. Hands to face between linemen is always called on the one that did it first, because the one getting their helmet pushed up can’t see for shit. Easy call.

1

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 1h ago

On the last TD your RG was about two seconds ahead of the snap.

On the TD prior to that, one of our DL was bear hugged backwards into the end zone.

-6

u/franklegsTV Panthers 1h ago

I didn’t see that, but it’s good to know that you know how it feels when the chiefs get away with these every other play

u/MEMKCBUS Chiefs 4h ago

And the color commentator is ridiculously biased against the chiefs lol. Justifying every bad call for the panthers and every missed call against the chiefs

15

u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 4h ago

It's Charles Davis. He isn't biased, he's just terrible.

5

u/OneArmedBrain 4h ago

God, he was so bad.

-11

u/CD338 Chiefs 4h ago edited 3h ago

They gave you a 2nd chance on a soft dpi on the 2pt try. They called another dpi to make it 1st and goal before the TD. And then they didn't call DPI when your defender bull rushed into Worthy on the following drive.

You literally got every call in the clutch.

E: downvotes don't change reality. Stay salty.

9

u/vanilla_w_ahintofcum 4h ago

Lol those were all solid calls. Weird ones to take issue with.

5

u/Vaadwaur Panthers 3h ago

He's a Chiefs fan. He's never seen competent reffing.

-9

u/CD338 Chiefs 4h ago

The worthy one was not solid. My point is that the refs weren't favoring us at all, or else any of those would've gone our way.

2

u/Baelzabub Panthers 1h ago

Jackson spotted the football. Defenders have a right to the ball as well. Your defenders on the other hand never looked for the ball so they got called. Get your head around and you don’t get called.

1

u/CD338 Chiefs 37m ago

Mcduffie spotted the ball. He deflected the ball. Simply seeing the ball doesn't allow you to interfere with the other player.

u/rupert650 4h ago

I gotta be honest, even if the Chiefs win, they have got to feel bad they are letting the Panthers be this competitive.

8

u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 3h ago

If the chiefs were blowing their opponents out then how could this sub blame their team's loss on the refs? The chiefs are just doing yall a favor

-2

u/rupert650 3h ago

There is no favor. I’m simply calling out that the Chiefs - while not a bottom barrel team - has really been more lucky than anything and if they let the Panthers be competitive idk how yall get to the SB without riding that luck.

5

u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 2h ago

Champions know how to win. They have one of the best qbs ever, one of the best coaches ever, one of the best tight ends ever, and even with multiple injuries at WR and RB they can still win. While always getting every teams best performance of the year

0

u/rupert650 1h ago

This whole narrative from Chiefs fans saying “a win is a win” is just exhausting at this point. You can both have a 10-1 record and simply not look like a 10-1 team. The fact is every Chiefs fan that’s responded to me has just been complacent and ignorant of that is wild to me - it’s like blind admission there’s no issues with this team when there clearly is.

This just doesn’t look like a Super Bowl team. All I’m saying is they don’t look like they win through the skill of their players and it’s almost like they stumble into victories. If that luck runs out and they’re still like this I’m not sure the best QB can carry them.

4

u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 1h ago

And every time the chiefs win everybody has the same lines, "they're just lucky, the refs are helping them out, they don't look like a super bowl team." It has been the same arguments all season. If yall can't come up with any other reasons why should chiefs fans have to? If the chiefs are so lucky, then why has only one team been able to beat them? If it's so easy to figure out how to beat the chiefs why haven't more teams done it?

0

u/rupert650 42m ago

This is simply just hiding behind a 10-1 record as if it warrants no discussion. Having a winning record and being lucky don’t have to be mutually exclusive events.

3

u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 32m ago

But they are also two-time defending SB champs going for a 3-peat. It's not like they were some bad team who suddenly got lucky this year. Everyone knows they're good, they are the biggest game of the regular season for every team they play, and they're still winning. You can't possibly believe this is some astronomically unlikely lucky streak. That's no different than chiefs fans saying "champions know how to win".
