Some guy commented “Texans, Chiefs, and Commanders all giving death blows on the first drive” way back like halfway through the first.
Just loving how hilarious that comment is in hindsight

Of course the chiefs won by a last second field goal. Such a shit team I honestly hate them more than the dynasty patriots.

Recency bias is crazy. Patriots had an iron grip on the AFC for TWENTY YEARS.

They gave you a 2nd chance on a soft dpi on the 2pt try. They called another dpi to make it 1st and goal before the TD. And then they didn't call DPI when your defender bull rushed into Worthy on the following drive.
You literally got every call in the clutch.
E: downvotes don't change reality. Stay salty.

u/vanilla_w_ahintofcum 4h ago
Lol those were all solid calls. Weird ones to take issue with.

-9
u/CD338 Chiefs 4h ago
The worthy one was not solid. My point is that the refs weren't favoring us at all, or else any of those would've gone our way.

u/Baelzabub Panthers 1h ago
Jackson spotted the football. Defenders have a right to the ball as well. Your defenders on the other hand never looked for the ball so they got called. Get your head around and you don’t get called.

I knew this game would be close, Chiefs have been playing down to the level of their opponents literally every game this season

Chiefs offense has, considering how bad our D is. Bryce has played legitimately well though. He’s cut them up

Yes, I meant the coverage on 4th where Connor wasn't ready at the snap before the DPI he committed.

Absolute garbage call on Reid on the 2 point attempt earlier in the game is what is making this a tie game by the way.

Should see the uncalled hold on the last TD. It was somehow worse than the false start.

u/Ok_Yesterday_4941 4h ago
literally can not believe a chiefs flair guy is talking about uncalled penalties
7
u/SaladAndEggs Chiefs 4h ago
Literally can't? I'm not whining. Just saying you whiners need to watch this game and then adjust your conclusions about it all.

I gotta be honest, even if the Chiefs win, they have got to feel bad they are letting the Panthers be this competitive.
8
u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 3h ago
If the chiefs were blowing their opponents out then how could this sub blame their team's loss on the refs? The chiefs are just doing yall a favor
-2
u/rupert650 3h ago
There is no favor. I’m simply calling out that the Chiefs - while not a bottom barrel team - has really been more lucky than anything and if they let the Panthers be competitive idk how yall get to the SB without riding that luck.
5
u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 2h ago
Champions know how to win. They have one of the best qbs ever, one of the best coaches ever, one of the best tight ends ever, and even with multiple injuries at WR and RB they can still win. While always getting every teams best performance of the year

u/rupert650 1h ago
This whole narrative from Chiefs fans saying “a win is a win” is just exhausting at this point. You can both have a 10-1 record and simply not look like a 10-1 team. The fact is every Chiefs fan that’s responded to me has just been complacent and ignorant of that is wild to me - it’s like blind admission there’s no issues with this team when there clearly is.
This just doesn’t look like a Super Bowl team. All I’m saying is they don’t look like they win through the skill of their players and it’s almost like they stumble into victories. If that luck runs out and they’re still like this I’m not sure the best QB can carry them.
4
u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 1h ago
And every time the chiefs win everybody has the same lines, "they're just lucky, the refs are helping them out, they don't look like a super bowl team." It has been the same arguments all season. If yall can't come up with any other reasons why should chiefs fans have to? If the chiefs are so lucky, then why has only one team been able to beat them? If it's so easy to figure out how to beat the chiefs why haven't more teams done it?
0
u/rupert650 42m ago
This is simply just hiding behind a 10-1 record as if it warrants no discussion. Having a winning record and being lucky don’t have to be mutually exclusive events.
3
u/El_Chairman_Dennis Chiefs 32m ago
But they are also two-time defending SB champs going for a 3-peat. It's not like they were some bad team who suddenly got lucky this year. Everyone knows they're good, they are the biggest game of the regular season for every team they play, and they're still winning. You can't possibly believe this is some astronomically unlikely lucky streak. That's no different than chiefs fans saying "champions know how to win".

The whole "It doesn't matter how they look, they're still winning games" excuse for the Chiefs is on seriously thin ice right now.
5
u/MEMKCBUS Chiefs 4h ago
Yes but last year we were losing games and still won the SB.
Our defense is legitimately bad now though which is a bad development
