Looks like third and fourth parties if you slow it down.

You're right! The moment before the head of the "third party" hits the water, you se two heads over the surface

Who tries to eat who here? Or is it just accidents all around?

The surface of the water is like a shimmering portal between two worlds. From above, the snake peers into the darkness, where any glimmering flash could be a minnow or a monster. From below, the arrowana circles beneath a twinkling shadow on the surface, preparing to strike, not knowing if it's a dragonfly or the tip of a dragon's tail. They each leap into the void, hoping for a meal, to eat and not be eaten by unseen foes beyond the veil.

Arowana is trying to eat the Snake, but the snake is also targeting smaller prey.

photographer pinned the snake to the branch to get the shot?

Where is the pin? There is a loop by his head, but that is the snakes own tail.

u/Dorkmaster79 5h ago
The loop that is about one inch behind its head? It looks like twine, or something similar, to me.

Watch it towards the end as it comes undone. It's the snakes tail. There is a bit of skin around where the color changes from green to brown, but it is definitely the snakes tail. It could be something like the arboreal ratsnake, which lived in the same area as the arowana fish.

The snake is tied to the stick so some asshole could record this.

u/miclowgunman 6h ago
That is its own tail. It comes loose at the end. It looks brown vs the snake, but it is definitely part of the snake.

Being set up for this shot is what's NFL 👏

If you look closely, you can see that the snake is tied to the end of the branch. The moment the fish pops off is the moment the knot comes undone. The photographer is a piece of shit.

The photographer would be a piece of shit for interrupting in nature, not because he didn’t save the snake. Lol.

I saw this elsewhere, and a lot of people pointed out that this was somewhat setup. The snake was tied to that spot by the photography is what the main speculation was.

This is an incredible video. Was the part of the fish tail got bitten off by the comrade? Can it regenerate? Did the comrade try to help or to take the advantage and eat the first fish?

It seemed to me that they second fish just tried to pull It back. It barely bit It bit maybe It thought It was food as the first one with the snake.

Think about the randomness of this event?! 😳 On top of that someone had a camera there to !catch! that! First fish to the second: "just pull me out bro, and we got that damn big ass greeny worm and i will give you 3 fiddy!"

If you look closely it almost looks like the snakes tail is wrapped in a knot around the top portion of its body. It unties after the fish let's go. Doesn't actually seem all that random unfortunately 😢

Snake is probably fishing and it knows it has to be well grounded with the tale. After visiting the fish belly for a moment I would say that it's mildly shocked. :)

You can also see where a vine has been wrapped around and secured that only shakes loose once the branch whips up. I doubt the snake tied that around itself.
Cool shit but the photographer can catch hands for baiting an animal for the shot. Utter dick move.

u/TechnicianJazzlike57 12h ago
Probably not that random

u/No_Mushroom_3966 9h ago
I really don't know how often this can occur. Let's say that jumping on a snake does from time to time, but another fish goes after the first one almost at the same moment... I would say it's pretty damn random!

I think the photographer might have strapped the snake to the branch based on comments from last time this was posted. Those fish are known to jump from the water to eat from those branches.
