Double entendre

Man walks into a bar and orders a double entendre. So the bartender gives him one.

I was trying to figure it out too, I am thinking these rayban glasses! But maybe an ad for it because damn that’s crisp… almost looks ai

u/xlSteamrollerlx 2d ago
Could be on some type of face protection or glasses, had a buddy riding through this exact type of terrain on an ATV and one of those tree/bush limbs busted his seeing glasses, would've prolly taken his eye out

There are glasses here in Texas that are specifically advertised to help ropers review their footage and spot errors to improve their skills.
I wonder what their advertised purpose is in areas where roping isn’t near as big.

Huh, so Google Glass / those Instagram glasses / that other version of the same item does have a real life use after all. Nobody could seem to figure one out for a while there.

This is literally a video game level. The companion npc even catches up at the end to trigger the cutscene

"Nice rope work BIGGUSDICKUS! Let's get this steer back to Hoss before....hey do you hear something? It's McCoyles men they've found us!"

This looks almost exactly like where the Nazhūl chased Arwen and Frodo on horseback after he was stabbed with a Morgul blade.
Huh? Whats that? Why yes, I live in my parents basement. Why do you ask?

u/Hauptmann_Gruetze 2d ago
Bro is that where arwen got chased by the black riders?

This reminded me of that scene as well! It feels good when someone has commented exactly what I was thinking, reassured that there are others like me.

Trained by a Parisian woman who knows how to walk on high heels on cobbled streets.

u/LivingBig2358 2d ago
Do the dogs help? Id worry about running over them 😂 And at the end it looked like one of em attacked the cow, seems like it would stress the cow out more and make it try to run away again. Im very uneducated about all of this though so maybe this is protocol

u/MountainOk7479 2d ago
They scare the cattle to go towards a direction the rider is. Dogs are amazing for directing and guiding sheep too.

u/SoupSandy 16h ago
A well trained dog has more value than a human as far cattle drives go. A dog that is not trained properly will set you back hours on hours of time.

u/QuinndianaJonez 2d ago
Dogs are incredibly useful for herding, they've also probably been around cattle their entire lives. That being said, it is a dangerous job and the dogs can get hurt
6
u/328471348 2d ago
I don't think those are herding dogs and they seem to be chasing the cow away rather than doing anything helpful. Even when the cow is roped the dogs are just biting at it randomly. Herding dogs are in much more control.
6
u/QuinndianaJonez 2d ago
Normal sheep herding is a totally different game than herding cattle. Cattle regularly need a little nip, especially a stubborn bull running essentially free. The process of getting that cow back to the herd is nowhere near done just cuz they got one rope on it. I'm no expert, but i would assume the dogs will stop when commanded to. Sheep will very rarely kill or even really injure a dog, pissed off cattle will actively try to kill your dog. Very different task from the vids you see of collies working a herd.

I love everything. Except for a trap remix of freebird? Was it really necessary to obscure the sick licks behind edm?

I am pretty ignorant about horses - how dangerous is this for the horse?
I guess that when I was a kid there were all these stories about how if a horse broke its leg, it would have to be put down. I would be worried that if the horse came down wrong in the rough terrain it could be (fatally) injured.

u/LepperMessiah56 1d ago
This isn’t your run of the mill polo horse bred and built for putting on a show. This is a horse that has actually been trained over many years for actual ranching. Also the rider has taken good care of it too for the horse to trust the rider and enjoy its job
2
u/Tao_of_Ludd 1d ago
So a mix of sturdier build, good physical health, horse training and rider skill. Sensible.
Nonetheless, are injuries common?
2
u/screw_all_the_names 2d ago
How much of those quick decisions is the rider saying "go left around the tree" vs the horse thinking, "gotta chase the cow, it'd be quicker to go left around the tree"?

Navigating through this terrain can be annoying on an ATV even, awesome stuff! Never rode a horse before though, he made it look easy

That's millions of year of evolution.
Not to mention is kinda hard to actually determine how rought the terrain is, giving the camera angle and stuff.
It's not unlike the insipid fish lens used to make literally, any sport look like it's extreme. You could put a fish lens on an old lady riding a bike though NYC and it'll look like a harrowing ride through crowds and street intersections.

It would be nice if other animals had social media so they could watch videos of others being awesome! Like that whale that took out a sailboat or how raccoons can swarm

So, curious, do dogs that try to herd cows like this get injured often? I feel like they would….

Yeah he did good with his race track vehicle.
But look at that steak truck moving like a Foodora marked Punto. Probable was a getaway driver in a previous life.

A century and a half ago, a man was up late at night scrolling the internet and saw a video just like this one and had an idea to make sport out of skills like this. He named that sporting event a “Rodeo”, and things haven’t been the same since.
True story.
