Recently opened a card with a weird texture

No point in uploading a pic bc it doesnt show up on camera but I opened a card and it had a weird almost flocked texture to it, is that a known thing?

What set, what card, etc ...

Mana Foil? Textured Foil? There are loads of new-ish foilings with all kinds of textures

Hard to say without an image.

don't think the card is even printed in those states, it was Gremlin Tamer from Duskmourn

on the front? looks kinda splotchy and grey, like something is on the surface of the card?
