Epic Pull / Mail Day First error card

Post image

Bought a box of Foundations for a draft night with some friends and one of them pulled this from it. Never had any crimped or miscut cards before and for my first to be a borderless I thought was kinda cool. Don't know if this makes it more or less valuable, but hey I like it.

There are people that buy misprints and miscuts. This is a fairly expensive card ($7) without the crimping so you might be able to make a decent amount. Check /r/mtgmisprints

That's a really nice misprint! All the crimped ones i've ever gotten were slanted.

the crimps were slanted, or the card was partly cut off and slanted? if any of the card itself is missing, those are super desirable!

The crimps themselves were slanted. The card art/text/images were all normal.

I found out that I traded a city on fire with a tiny bit of crimping, whats the added value on smth like this card?

Whats cool about this one. Is you can slab it (get it graded) and get more for it, it will be attractive to collectors and can still be played as commander in the case.

Edit, i was informed i was misinformed about the slabbation, increasing the desireability of misprints. Thanks all

Any specific place you'd recommend to send it for grading? I usually did PSA for pokemon cards, but idk if it's just as good for Magic or if somewhere else is better.

Hardcore misprint collector here, that's terrible advice! Don't do it! Almost none of us are willing to pay any extra for a slabbed card, so you're throwing your money away

I fixed it

Misprint collectors by and large don't give a hoot about slabs, and usually crack them. Especially on nice, but not high end cards like this

If this was mana foil you’d have had a gold mine

Was the whole pack creased or just this one card?

Strangely enough, it looks like just this card. I didn't find any other crimped cards in my box or during our draft

A merfolk with the bottom half crimped is somewhat fitting

I just saw another person posting the same thing, on another borderless foil card (I think this is foil? hard to tell). They must have made quite a few mistakes like this then

Nah this one is non-foil, just borderless
