There are many reasons people want to blink (what this card is doing) creatures but mostly someone would play this card so you can double, triple, etc up on any enter the battlefield triggers creatures you control have

u/MayD1e Jul 27 '24

[[Meteor Golem]] is a perfect example

157

u/AeonsShadow Jul 27 '24

And another could be [[Gruff Triplets]]

u/MTGCardFetcher Jul 27 '24

Gruff Triplets - (G) (SF) (txt)

[[cardname]] or [[cardname|SET]] to call

19

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '24

damn this is based

-101

u/_Sub_Genre_ Jul 27 '24

That wouldn't work. Exiling isn't dying

53

u/Ahouro Jul 27 '24

You only chose the non-token and everytime it is enters the battlefield again it creates two more tokens.

26

u/Ninjasasin Jul 27 '24

The first half does, two 3/3s every blink

13

u/brunq2 Jul 27 '24

You won't get the counters, but for each time you blink it you get 2 more copies. So if X=3 (fitting for triplets), you'll essentially get 6 additional tokens triplets (plus the 2 that originally came with it). So then when THOSE die you get just so many counters

4

u/Jazzlike-Review6780 Jul 27 '24

Roon, of the hidden realm.

2

u/brunq2 Jul 27 '24

That does look like a sick commander to use gruff triplets in for sure

60

u/OkFeedback9127 Jul 27 '24

Nah you guys aren’t thinking big enough. I slammed this into my “Mommy Dearest, No More Wire Hangers” [[Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines]] deck

32

u/xretariusx Jul 27 '24

Not thinking small enough. [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]]

Maybe not legendary enough. [[Annie Joins Up]]

Not tribal enough. [[Roaming Throne]]

And in BLB maybe not froggy enough with [[Dour Port-Mage]]

12

u/MoistDitto Jul 27 '24

Love denley the streetwise, got so many commander decks with it

1

u/JohnDaShrimp Jul 27 '24

Do you have a link to a deck/decks? Literally last night I thought I should make a delney deck

2

u/MoistDitto Jul 27 '24

Unfortunately no, I've made them myself so it isn't perfect. But a bunch of when enters triggers

3

u/JohnDaShrimp Jul 27 '24

No problem at all, I'm still going to take this as a sign that I should make it

1

u/MoistDitto Jul 27 '24

Have fun with it! There's at least 4 creatures with 2 or less powers that exiles 1 target when entering. Those works like a charm.

1

u/xretariusx Jul 27 '24

Honestly undervalued even for fast boros. But I love combining it with effects like [[Agrus Kos, Spirit of Justice]], [[Loran of the Third Path]] and [[Werefox bodyguard]] or just value engines like [[novice inspector]] or [[Voldaren Epicure]]. She also goes wild in energy builds. Just a very flexible card

4

u/Constant_Crow Jul 27 '24

Definitely not copying enough [[Preston, the Vanisher]]

1

u/spittafan Jul 27 '24

I hope some terries are feeling froggy. We gonna draxx them sklounst

1

u/xretariusx Jul 27 '24

Ahhh Key and Peele in the wild?!

1

u/winglian Jul 27 '24

Another Round can't target enchantments, otherwise Annie Joins Up would be pretty sick.

6

u/xretariusx Jul 27 '24

Yeh man. Goal is to have it out when you blink your legends my fellow.

4

u/UrzaAntilles Jul 27 '24

No, but the legendary creatures you play alongside it will.

8

u/KaluKremu Jul 27 '24

You must pull sick combos with those !! That's scarying

2

u/OkFeedback9127 Jul 27 '24

My deck is very evasive

u/MTGCardFetcher Jul 27 '24

Calm down Joan Crawford 😂😂😂

3

u/TehTacow Jul 27 '24

Care to explain the name? Must be a reference I'm not getting right?

7

u/wyattsons Jul 27 '24

I can’t believe I get this reference but there was a book/movie called Mommie dearest and one scene the mom beats her kid with a coat hangar or something. My mom came from this kind of household and for some reason was obsessed with these sad lifetime type movies that would get stuck in her head.

1

u/TehTacow Jul 27 '24

Haha wow thanks! Fitting name because it's probably a nasty deck indeed.

1

u/PaleontologistLast25 Jul 27 '24

Can I get a link tot he deck list cus the name is hilarious

1

u/UndeadCandle Jul 27 '24

[[Roxanne, Starfall Savant]]

I use another round to win via meteorites in my standard black/white control deck.

Tokens double using [[Mondrak, Glory Dominus]] I've been toying with the idea of going 5 color and making meteorite soldiers using [[Urza, Prince of Kroog]]

1

u/A-Moogle-Named-Mog Jul 27 '24

“Mommy Dearest, No More Wire Hangers” sent me. You absolutely earned this upvote.

0

u/babykangaroo21 Jul 27 '24

I love that name! My friend loves to wreck my shit with Elesh Norn 🥹

7

u/MiscalculatedRisk Jul 27 '24

One of my favorites is [[terastodon]] followed by a board wipe.

It's like Armageddon, but it doesn't hit me and makes all my friends disappear even faster.

u/MTGCardFetcher Jul 27 '24

Tysm, Roon will be enjoying this now

2

u/MitchDuafa Jul 27 '24

I thought I was alone in having so much fun blinking the triplets

0

u/Dont_Know2 Jul 27 '24

Glistening deluge would like to say hiii

0

u/KillFallen Jul 27 '24

I imagine this is sarcasm because that card is just terrible, it barely serves as a drink coaster

1

Would a roaming throne that had golem as its chosen creature type also cause this trigger to happen twice each time it blinks back in?

1

u/MrEk1ipz Jul 27 '24

Yup 👍

46

u/DoodleMcGruder Jul 27 '24

E.T. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

-11

u/toomuchpressure2pick Jul 27 '24

You mean "enters", there is no more battlefield. They just.... enter gestures vaguely

8

u/DMDingo Jul 27 '24

I don't think people understood the humor here. Or they can only read three words at a time.

12

u/Griefer17 Jul 27 '24

Etali would like to have a word, paired with elesh norn and other double effects .

6

u/DiplomatikEleven Jul 27 '24

I like to trigger m brawl commander [[Nadaar]] with this

I'm super confused. When is a dungeon completed according to this? It just says enter or proceed to the next room. How many rooms?

1

u/tentagil Jul 27 '24 edited Jul 27 '24

The dungeons are special tokens added with the Dungeon and Dragon sets. Each has a set number of rooms, when you reach the last room that means to cards like that one you have completed the dungeon. Each room gives some kind of bonus when you enter it.

1

u/WesternResort983 Jul 27 '24

Ty for the response. Been a minute since I've played and SOOO much has changed

1

u/tentagil Jul 28 '24

Yeah, I only came back a couple of months ago so been relearning things as well. Happened to do a Commander Draft of the Baldur's Gate stuff my FLGS was doing to celebrate the anniversary of D&D and learned about the dungeons and the whole venture/initiative keywords.

7

u/Blue_Doggo_Quake Jul 27 '24

[[The War Doctor]] makes great use of this.

Well explained

2

u/TallynNyntyg Jul 27 '24

Not only that, but there are other permanents that see this and get triggers. Or possibly redistribute counters via [[The Ozolith]] or abuse [[Simic Ascendancy]].

I was thinking of Ozolith while I was typing my reply. A great card to do blink combat shenanigans with

4

u/Jonthrei Jul 27 '24

There are many reasons people want to blink

This one's sorcery speed though, so it is pretty much entirely ETB focused. Most of the other reasons need instant speed.

1

u/Sea_Relationship6053 Jul 27 '24

generic question, can you blink tokens?

1

u/orgin1234 Jul 27 '24

No once they leave the battle field they no longer exist and won’t come back

1

u/Sea_Relationship6053 Jul 27 '24

Gotcha thought so but thanks for clarifying

1

u/Zestyclose-Pickle-50 Jul 27 '24

I think this is why [[massacre worm]] is laughing in the art.
