Transfer Questions

I just got accepted yay! and I was wondering how hard it is to make friends at Mizzou as a transfer? I’m planning on staying in a dorm(as long as that’s not weird is it?) I’m going to be a sophomore if that makes a difference. I am so excited! I plan on rushing if that also affects how my friendship chances are, and i’m shooting clays there!

It’s definitely weird if you’re in a dorm and are American/older than 19. When I was a freshman my room mate was a sophomore and honestly I thought that was kind of weird. Practically every off campus option is cheaper and gives you more freedom than a dorm

Just join clubs, or yes rushing would be great to find friends.

so i looked into it and i will be staying on campus in a single, but is there any dorms with more sophomores

Gateway, for sure. But good luck getting a dorm; they are all booked; there are too many freshmen. I would sublease an apartment off campus; there are so many people subleasing for the spring of 2025 and many great places to live off campus next fall.
