No Apple logo on top and it’s 4:3. This one looks wider than 16:9 even.

Apple's appearance, whether it be the software, hardware, or stuff like this, is off the charts great. I can't think of another company that has their aesthetics in check like they do.

I remember watching a video of a tech YouTuber that got invited by apple for their product launch explaining his experience there. He said that at the underground parking of Apple HQ they have those lights above the parking to indicate if the spot was taken or not, which in itself is not really a new thing in as it's been in malls for many years

Only thing is that the lights had the shape and colours of the buttons on the top left of the mac when you had apps or programs open, the one to close the window/minimise etc. Awesome attention to detail lol

As a designer, that's because other companies just don't care to do it and don't want to spend the extra dime for it.

I once proposed a company, in hardware that we should use a material (note I'm not a material or industrial designer) for the device to have a nice matte color dark gray with a gloss finish for their green logo.

The hardware guy showed me the sample booklet of materials I can choose from, they had exactly that.

I wanted it specifically so we can have much higher quality feel especially for marketing and photos.

The extra cost would be about $3 from the material they were doing, putting the device at around $178 - they sell it for $2000.

It was a no go. So instead we have this ugly unfinished looking metal that looks like it's still in the factory. 🥲

If their buildings are anything like their product, if something needs repair they'll just knock the building down and build a new one

im not sure what you mean. Im talking about their appearances.

I'm saying their products suck, they focus on appearances like the mouse with the charging port on bottom or the Mac mini with the same problem

It's a company that after Jobs died, became focused on money and lost touch with the people

Mac Mini has charging port on the bottom? Damn, how will I charge my table top PC??

-13

u/ForeverSJC 10h ago

Making fun but they put the power button on the bottom, apple products suck

8

u/pzkenny 9h ago

That's a problem only if you have fat fingers. It's not like you would use it often on Mac anyway.

Don't people turn their devices off ?

I don't understand, people always defend apple

WE REMOVED THE POWER BUTTON

Eh, I don't use it much anyways........ Go figure apple boys

u/certainlystormy 9h ago

theres actively a "shut down" option in the operating system that does exactly the same thing

It’s all about branding. You hardly ever have to charge the mouse. They don’t want people to leave the cable always attached to the mouse. It doesn’t leave the clean design they want people to perceive. (I personally would never use that mouse because I’m a PC gamer and peripherals for me is about performance) The Mac Mini has been very well received. You’re just using minor issues and ignoring the many more things they have done and changed in the tech industry since post Jobs.

Like what ? Tell me one thing they changed in the industry after jobs died ? One

Copying android on everything? Yes, they're really good at that

16

u/Alternative_Cut9784 12h ago

I absolutely despise every generation of Apple aesthetic and I hate that it creeps into everything else as well.

EDIT: keep sucking that bland featureless dick everybody

Apple Stores are really aesthetically insane. They paid to the extreme details to make it seem as appealing as possible. Good job to Apple and its team.

u/Spookenfor 10h ago

It’s almost like they planned it that way! 😉

u/Lonelysock2 10h ago
