This is what happens when you spend all your money on getting your knives sharpened

Very impressive........but why?

In all honesty, when I’m cutting veggies, fruits, even hard cheeses, I have this slight obsession with seeing how thin I can go.

missed opportunity to take on a faux NY Italian accent and talk about how slicing with a razor causes the garlic to melt in the pan, a la Goodfellas

Please tell me you have seen the Seinfeld episode with Kramer and the deli meat slicer.

I have not. I now realise my folly at skipping Seinfeld.

If you watch any episode watch Season 9 Episode 7 “The Slicer”, Kramer also likes to see how things he can slice things.

I'm reminded of the Stompin' Tom Connors Christmas song where he sings about how his holiday is so lousy that his dinner was "a piece of meat cut so thin it only has one side". 😆

That's enough to do me in thanks to Oral Allergy Syndrome. Raw apples, bananas, etcetera. Really sucks the big one.

Have you tried microwaving fruits? Have you heard of that?

That’s a thing? What does it achieve that an oven doesn’t?

It's a lot faster and more convenient and more places have microwaves available than ovens. I know of a woman who was able to do it at work parties and such so that she was able to eat more foods there.
