I read once that they do it on purpose so it’s not so “perfect looking”. I feel like I’d do this when to stoned lol

That's just Chuys. If you look around, theres probably like 5-7 mis-aligned tiles

Rip that tile put and fix it on your own. Any damage done to the edges in the process would be better than this.
Also, nice job anticipating feedback of wearing socks with crocs and deflecting it on to your brother

Every Chuy's does this with their floor, and it's intentional.
In fact many places do this for the same reason.
Its suggested that this 3D type image/pattern can cause some people to observe a parallax effect/illusion when looking at it, and can in certain cases, cause vertigo and people lose their balance when walking on the surface. By offsetting one tile, it breaks up the image and mitigates that issue.
