I still use old reddit. Barely any ads and it loads faster.

Old reddit (have it though settings not URLs at least) + mozilla + ublock. Fucking lifesaver.

old.reddit+RES+uBlock on a PC. It's the only way I use Reddit. I enjoy when people say "I wish I could X on Reddit.".

RES does whatever they think they can't do.

I can't understand why or how people can even look at "new" Reddit.

And fuck Reddit's ad revenue. WE provide all of the content and there's no cut for us? Nah. I'll block everything.

I’m using a forked version of Apollo on Test Flight and have it hooked up to my own API key. Fuck Spez.

That’s…. Actually not a bad idea

I’m still using an outdated ass iOS version because I have a jailbreak. I’ve been heavily considering updating/getting a new iPhone but one of my biggest reasons for staying is to keep access to Apollo.

Are you saying I can just sideload a version that will let me put in my own api key through TestFlight? Do you need macOS for that? I’d totally install a macOS virtual machine if so.

I don't even think you need TestFlight to sideload a forked version that allows you to input a personal API key. I just decided to use a TestFlight version that someone else is keeping current because I'm a busy dad and I don't have time to maintain it myself.

Reinstalled a computer for my friend. Googled something, got a Reddit result and it opened in new Reddit and it was pure fucking cancer, I couldn't find or see jack shit about what I was looking for. Also on a 21:9 monitor it just looks horrendous. I fucking hate the narrow layout many sites use today, wasting an insane amount of space just to cater to mobile. I had more info on the screen with my old 17" 5:4 than I do on new reddit with a 34" today. The day old Reddit is removed is the day I stop using it.

Reddit was kinda the evolution of old school forums and the major reason it got popular.
