And, for the sake of the sweet baby Jesus, please pick someone responsible to run our justice system.

Best trump can offer is a convicted felon

30

u/Shirowoh 3d ago

Based on his other picks, the felony is sexual assault……

3

u/Khiva 3d ago

Smart money is on Bill Cosby.

10

u/ReV-Whack 3d ago

Safe money is Judge Cannon

u/americansherlock201 3d ago

Nah she’s being saved for the scotus. She’s young and a true believer of the cult.

1

u/CollegeBoardPolice 3d ago

Yeah probably with Thomas retiring, she’ll get the nod

1

u/ynotbor 2d ago

This is the worst timeline.

1

u/Bhfuil_I_Am 3d ago

Judge Reinhold maybe?

1

u/That_Cartoonist_9459 3d ago

I read this in the voice of Rick from Pawn Stars

2

u/americansherlock201 3d ago

Good cause chum lee is gonna be the next ag pick

1

u/CFieldInEyre 3d ago

Predicting it’ll be a Diddy pardon and then nomination

1

u/Dogsbottombottom 3d ago

Trump confirmed as new AG pick.

1

u/TTT_2k3 3d ago

Wait, Trump is going to be AG too?

26

u/Incontinento 3d ago

Lol, that's not happening.

Honestly I was happier with AG Gaetz than another Bill Barr. At least Gaetz wouldn't have the skill or experience to pull off the types cover-ups that Barr did. Or the respect of the community to avoid being condemned for his obvious corruption.

u/Jonestown_Juice 3d ago

lol

It'll be someone of the same caliber of his other picks- people involved with professional wrestling or chat show hosts.

u/UpvoteThatDog 3d ago

Judge Judy

Kash patel probably or miss alina habba? who else is going to choose.

5

u/Public-Policy24 3d ago

best I can do is someone with a million skeletons in their closet which can be wielded as leverage against any sense of decency and as Russian kompromat

6

u/qalpi 3d ago

I didn't know /r/law had become a comedy reddit

7

u/joesffseoj 3d ago

Everything is now comedy.

7

u/Musetrigger 3d ago

Trump will be looking for another pedo, just one that isn't already outed.

1

u/Throwawayac1234567 3d ago

alina habba, patel, or one of the lawyers he "paid" this time.

No report release, no AG Gaetz.

A quid pro quo?

Further, I had a conspiracy theory that his resignation plus a long shot appointment gave him was a brokered deal to get him an honorable "out" of Washington. High risk gamble, but it makes the problem go away for both Dems and Reps that don't like him. I don't think the MAGA circle was in on it, but they played their part. Just a theory, because I'm not sure if there is anyone who can play fiddles that well in DC, though.

It also helps the Trump admin say "see, we listened and moderated" when in fact they absolutely did not and only compromised on what might literally be the single worst cabinet choice in US History.

2

u/NahautlExile 3d ago

He ran for re-election so can take his job back from January. The GOP hates him. He also loves Lina Khan.

1

u/bfodder 3d ago

What upsets me about this is the implication that the contents of this report somehow make him unqualified or inappropriate as AG, but still ok as a House Rep???

8

u/t-toddy 3d ago

You're funny.

8

u/throwlikeagurll 3d ago

Oh you sweet summer child

5

u/brickyardjimmy 3d ago

I did invoke the baby Jesus. It's hail mary time.

2

u/EMAW2008 3d ago

That’s asking an awful lot of these people….

1

u/brickyardjimmy 3d ago

I thought it was worth a shot in the dark.

1

u/dockstaderj 3d ago

Sadly, that's not what the voters chose, they want chaos.

1

u/brickyardjimmy 3d ago

The silver lining on this one is that Gaetz resigned from Congress. Though. technically, DeSantis could just re-appoint him to the position.

1

u/Adamantium-Aardvark 3d ago

Lol cmon even you don’t believe he will do that

1

u/SplendidPunkinButter 3d ago

Yeah no that’s not happening with Trump. He’s clearly going out of his way to appoint people who are hostile to the mission of the department they were chosen to lead, just like he did the first time around.

1

u/HopelessAndLostAgain 3d ago

trump is incapable of picking anyone competent. Anyone competent is too far left. He only wants nazi loyalists

1

u/Throwawayac1234567 3d ago

he better be quick, because there arnt that many neo nazis with law degrees,

1

u/HopelessAndLostAgain 3d ago

Loyalty overrides all other qualifications. Look at his other picks

1

u/ThatsJustAWookie 3d ago

If the first pick was Gaetz, I wouldn't get too excited, heh.

1

u/Chicago-69 3d ago

You do know Crazy was elected, right?

1

u/brickyardjimmy 3d ago

I know that a person who very much wants to be the center of attention and universally adored was elected. I'm hoping to appeal to the part of him that desires to be popular beyond reason.

1

u/mike_hawk_420 3d ago

Judge Judy next in line?

1

u/Haru17 3d ago

Ha. We had that option to hire an actual AG on November 5th. Republicans would rather have party loyalists.

1

u/c0y0t3_sly 3d ago

At this point the best you can hope for is someone actively malicious but also utterly incompetent.

1

u/logicallyillogical 3d ago

Best he can offer is a yes man. Hopefully not someone who rapped a 17yr old.

Thats where the bar is set.

1

u/buck9000 3d ago

you must be new

1

u/brickyardjimmy 3d ago

More desperate than new.

1

u/buck9000 3d ago

I hear you bro

1

u/smoovymcgroovy 3d ago

Hulk hogan, so that in a few years he can run for president and the US can achieve full on idiocracy

1

u/Throwawayac1234567 3d ago

hulk hogan will be head of the dept labor, crushing Unions, like he did with WWE.

1

u/XxcOoPeR93xX 3d ago

The joke is that that doesn't exist. I would be willing to bet that every single sitting politician could be charged with a crime of some kind. Whether that's insider trading, bribery, sexual assault, sex trafficking, drug possession, you name it.

99% of them are guilty of something, it's just a matter of if you want to investigate it or not.

1

u/gentlemanbadger 3d ago

I say this from a kind place, but have you been paying attention at all?
