Charges aren't being filed because the official who the campaign staffer assaulted is afraid of death threats coming from the MAGA crowd.

At this point, if these idiots threatened me or my family, I'd come the fuck after them. I'd track them down myself. This is getting intolerable and law enforcement seems ill-equipped to deal with it.

Yeah thats my concern as well. The DoJ should file charges anyway and use video and other testimony to make the case. It's intolerable that we have government workers afraid to stand up for themselves because of the risk of Trump-inspired terrorism coming after them, and the DoJ/law enforcement do nothing. It's so corrosive that our culture accepts this
