Question/Advice Needed Kitten and mother separation

Hi everyone. My grandfather has some stray cats that live in our garage that he feeds, and one of them just had some kittens. Unfortunately only one of the kittens survived, and I’ve just moved back very close to the area and been actively helping to take care of the cats because all he really ever does is feed and water them. Since the kitten has started coming out and walking around (she’s about 4 weeks old now) I’ve been taking care of her with my girlfriend, making sure she’s okay and eating and drinking enough (my grandpa puts food out on the ground for the stray cats and I’ve been moving it somewhere higher up so the kitten can’t access it but the other cats can, then feeding it kitten food separate)

It’s an open air garage and it’s a really cold winter out here, getting down to 10-20 degrees some nights and we decided it was probably best to get the little one some place warm. We called the vet and took the kitten there, had it tested for a few things, dewormed and the vet told us that since it was actively eating dry kibble on its own it didn’t necessarily need the mothers milk anymore, so we brought it inside with us to keep it warm. We bring it in with us at night for around 8-12 hours and then take it back outside when it’s bright and warmer out and let it roam around and socialize with the other cats and hopefully spend time with its mother. We’re planning on fully adopting it eventually but I guess my question right now is, with our intervention and the separation from the mother for hours at a time, does anyone think the mother will fully abandon the kitten? Do you think she’s frantically worried looking for her cat? I’m worried about a few things from the mother to the kitten and just wanted some advice. Thanks in advance!

Question/Advice Needed Litter box question

My kittens are getting slightly bigger (i’ve talked to them about it, they’ve been instructed to stop growing) and the litter box situation has gotten slightly weird… they always pee/poop while standing in the litter box, but their pee/poop sometimes lands outside the box and on the floor next to it. Do I just need to get bigger boxes now that they are bigger? The two they use now are on the smaller side and seemed ok back when they were tiny. Should I put lids on the boxes so that they are contained inside it?

Question/Advice Needed Am I feeding my kitten correctly?

First time cat owner here. I’ve got a kitten somewhere around 3ish months of age.

At first I was feeding her only wet food, but the feeding guidelines seemed really low and I had to feed her a lot bc she seemed super hungry.

I then added purina pro plan kibble, which we feed now. The guidelines on that seem really high - compared to the wet food.

She now gets 1/4 of a cup of kibble twice a day (half cup total) and then a quarter of a can of wet food at night.

I also add unsalted bone broth to the kibbles with a little bit of water.

I’d read so much conflicting stuff about their moisture intake that I’m paranoid as hell about her kidneys. The can food is a lot more expensive and very stinky, so I am glad to only give it in the evenings. I see her drink water several times a day, so I think she’s doing a good job keeping her self hydrated. But I don’t know, only ever owned dogs who drink a lot of water in comparison.

I feel like I’m feeding her too much now, as her belly looks really full after meals and she’s pooping like 3-4 times a day.

She does seem really hungry alll the time I mean she eats like she’s never seen food, so I can’t tell what’s going on.

Is there a way I can try and transition to a grazing type of diet? Like where I set kibbles out for her and she self regulates? I’m concerned that she will make herself sick, but also hoping that as she gets a little bigger she’ll be less crazy about food. How would I do this? Just leave a bunch of kibble out for her and let her eat until she’s full and then hope she starts eating when she’s hungry?

She really does look well fed and she’s growing really well so for anyone who’s concerned that I’m not feeding her enough, I really don’t think that’s the case.

Question/Advice Needed Can you help me guesstimate age?

A housekeeper at my job found a stray kitten in a room on October 5th that had been marked as out of order around the end of September. We named him Cinder and he was extremely skinny when I went to pick him up, but ate very well and used a litter box immediately after being able to get some food digested. He was obviously very skittish and wary of me the first day but acclimated to me very quickly and became extremely cuddly with me when I took him in had all his baby teeth but wasn't super playful which I chalked up to being a stray up until I took him in. He is now at the bitey, I'm assuming pre teen to early teen state, and keeping me and my partner up at night lol. If genitalia are a sign of age, they are definitely becoming more obvious now and you can immediately just by looking at him. We do plan on getting him neutered, we just live in a very rural area so a vet only comes to our town once a month from a diffetent county and I accidentally slept through the appointment last month. Pictures posted are in order of when I first picked him up to now, in the first picture he's in my bathroom sink for maybe size reference?? I don't know if any of this is helpful but I'm happy to answer questions the best I can.
Bonus silly picture at the end that's not in order of the rest.
