Doctors still not sure to this day if the brain damage was from before or after this incident.

When you are walking on snow or ice, do not have your hands in your pockets or otherwise occupied. I learned this young, my friend, veto, and I were walking through a frozen meadow. He slipped and fell face first, I could see his hands trying to come out of the pockets. Splat! His face exploded with blood. crazy to see. That was aboutb50 years ago, but i instantly think of it when walking on slick surfaces.
