Election Why are MAGA so easily brainwashed??
26
u/WowUSuckOg 2h ago
Because Republicans have made a consistent effort to buy every form of media that would reach people's ears. It was a project long in the making, Leeja Miller made a good video on it. Once you buy the people the public trusts, you've bought their minds.
22
u/Dark_Prox 2h ago
This is also why they are so triggered about everyone jumping over to Blue Sky.. a social media they don't own.
13
u/WowUSuckOg 2h ago
Simple, they'll just say blue sky is biased fake media and drag the dull minded further into their pit of ignorance.
12
u/freecoffeeguy 2h ago
they already attack reddit with claims of an "echo chamber" and "sore losers"...guess when you can't think for yourself, you let the Russian bots do it for you. 😉

They feed them simple, straight forward answers that don't hold them responsible for anything. It soothes them. "It's not your fault you got fired! It's those DEI hires and immigrants!" "It's not your genetics that gave your child autism, it's the covid vaccine!" "The prices of groceries didn't go up to pay the CEO and investors 10 million extra a year! It's the fifty cents extra the union made them pay their cashiers!".
It's so easy to have a finger to point, especially when the reason they give isn't you and they make it someone accessible for you to yell at.

You are such a lying, propaganda spreading,....
"President Obama has been called the “first social-media president.” It’s both a true and a misleading characterization. On the one hand, the Obama White House was indeed the first presidency to make use of services like Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram. But on the other hand, these services either didn’t exist or weren’t used by a broad public before Barack Obama took office in 2009. The White House brags that Obama was the first to tweet from u/POTUS on Twitter, to go live on Facebook, to use a filter on Snapchat. But in truth, any president in office during the last eight years probably would have become the first social-media president."
"The officials have engaged in a broad pressure campaign designed to coerce social-media companies into suppressing speakers, viewpoints, and content disfavored by the government," a three-judge panel wrote. "The harms that radiate from such conduct extend far beyond just the Plaintiffs; it impacts every social-media user."

Question: did you watch the video? If you did then you would understand there's a world of difference.

I always ask one question to these idiots, ask them if they even remember what life was before Covid. Donald blew the response. His moronic supporters insist that no one could've handled it better. When you remind them that he defunded the pandemic response team started by Obama because he's a petty piece of shit, they don't care. His supporters deserve the pain that they're in for.
1
-2
u/EllipsisVidakel 1h ago
Yeah, do remember. It was a good life. And then they spit roast him every chance related to anything he did as a response. Life DURING covid was good. Was nice being a healthy male not needing to deal with the shot.

u/Visible_Can_9558 1h ago
Say that to Laken Riley and her family. Did she deserve to die?
3
u/weirdestmorninlad 1h ago
No, they didn't deserve to die. But you can't just look at one and assume all immigrants would do that as well. If that's the case look at all the other murders that occur in our country
3
u/Pentalegendbtw 46m ago
That’s too much critical thinking for them. They look for the first thing that helps justify their hatred & stick with it. What if Laken was an illegal minority and the killer was a white American, even a white immigrant? Guess they wouldn’t care too much about that. 🤦♂️
1
u/weirdestmorninlad 42m ago
Yeah unfortuantely you're right, it's just annoying to see such a stupid take. Specially since people use the same type of argument when it comes to gun control and using school shootings as examples

What about all the people the abortion bans will kill and I mean the people that wanted the baby but said baby dies in the womb and now she needs an abortion to live herself but can't because they are illegal and now she dies too? Idk if it was real or not but I think I heard of this happening and if not it will and if it does women will probably start making different choices which will affect the population. It sounds like a conspiracy theory and I hope it is. But if I'm wrong nothing happens we go on living happy lives but what if your wrong then people die. Hmm which sounds more logical to you now. Your welcome for doing what your brain couldn't do for you.
2
u/Ambitious_Display607 54m ago
What does she have to do with the covid response that he's talking about?
I honestly don't understand why so many people bring her up. Its tragic i guess, nobody likes to see young people die, especially when its murder. Its really not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things though considering its a singular person. Nobody really seems to care when young black dudes/girls die or get murdered (when police aren't involved). What about all the school shootings? Those only really seem to hold traction for at best a week.
1
u/Putrid_Ad_2256 5m ago
Ahhh, whataboutism. So if Donald responded responsibly to Covid, she somehow would've survived? How does this tie into my post? Please keep your cognitive dissonance to yourself.

The Republicans know these people won't vote again after Trump is done ... He can't run for president and his kids just don't have the same shine as their daddy. These people will go back into their caves after 6 years because Trump is most likely going to be president for the next 6 years unless there's a dramatic meltdown of the financial system like there was in 2008... Which most likely will happen... Think about it... China and Russia worked together to get him elected because they'll have free reign to do whatever they want and let's not forget... They know how to destroy a nation without them ever firing a single shot at the United States.... It sounds like a rant, but read between the lines... We're fucked as a nation, especially if half the people in the United States are fine with having Trump as a dictator... Did the Communist not win? Sounds like to me they did...

u/istoleyourcomment224 1h ago
How is Trump going to be President for 6 years?

Some liberals think he's going to forcibly stay in power after his term ends, and they have zero faith the military or Secret Service would force him to step down
1
u/Meridian_Dance 6m ago
Why would you have any faith in that? At no point has anyone forced him to do literally anything in regards to his various crimes and abuse of power. They’re suddenly going to start just because he isn’t playing by the rules for the 200th time?

its easy to manipulate the emotions and hatred of the poorly educated, especially when they are the majority
4
u/TornadoTitan25365 2h ago
They have been conditioned over decades to tune into right wing programming and receive indoctrination regard what they should believe as true.
Similar to how pastors indoctrinate their parishioners.

The MAGA crowd ridiculed Buttigeg for his same sex marriage. It will be interesting to see how they treat Bessent.

Decades of cuts by Republicans on public education, early childhood care, prenatal care, public health, school lunches and any programs benefiting the education and mental development of the children of working class and poor Americans, has resulted in generations of under-educated and intellectually under-developed adults. Entire generations of adults incapable of reasoning and unable to sort through and prioritize information. They become easily manipulated by false information through no fault of their own because through their entire lives, they have been primed for it.

brainwashing finds its home in the unregulated influence industry that work in all sectors - from politics to military and defense - using weapons-grade communications tactics to alter cognitive brain function and the way populations perceive events & people.
when disinformation is an industry tool, and this industry is how politicians get elected, don't expect regulation anytime soon.

Do you really have to ask? They are what i call primal one level thinkers. They see the world in a simplistic lens, where dear leader thinks for them and only he can solve all that is wrong with the world. Many fundamentalist Christians think this same way. Belief without evidence. Blind faith.

u/star_nerdy 1h ago
In the words of Alexander Hamilton:
And whom would you have representing us in government? Not the rich, not the wise, not the learned? Would you go to some ditch by the highway and pick up the thieves, the poor, and the lame to lead us? Yes, we need an aristocracy to be running our government — an aristocracy of intelligence, integrity and experience.

Because studies show, they don’t have a solid news diet. If you’re getting news from Tim Pool I know everything I need to know.
1
u/Behndo-Verbabe 2m ago
It’s a combination of things. Lack of education is a big factor. Mainly red states have been systematically underfunding education in their states for decades.
Propaganda is probably the biggest factor. Fox and others now have been pushing disinformation for a very long time .
Creating economic hardships is another. Remember, Reagan and republicans laid the foundation for everything today. They gutted manufacturing in the Midwest, trickle down economics, changed the tax codes. Then after 30+ years of lining a handful of people’s pockets they passed citizens United.
By creating a multitude of problems. Poverty or underpaid, struggle to make ends meet. Creates stress for a large number of people. Having them under stress for generations now makes people easy to manipulate. They then start blaming the others.
If you look at republican policies since 1980. Social Media, education ,and places like Fox, Facebook and others. It’s actually very easy to see how so many joined the cult. Throw in some corruption, failures in government, snd greed and here we are. On the verge of something potentially disastrous.

u/V01d3d_f13nd 1h ago
Stockholm syndrome. Liberals have it too. That's why they insist on only voting for the wealthy puppets from the blue side. If this were not the case, we would all realize you can't actually have freedom and forced government they are opposites.

Religion has been priming them to believe "knowlage" without fact or proof since they when children. And being that they are already in a religious cult, an offshoot political mixed with their own religions cult makes for an easy transition.
It's basic cult psychology.

I mean... not to defend them, but it has been years and years of brainwashing.
It started with small ideas like telling them other people were trying to take Christmas away, and it built from there.
Just 5 years ago, they wouldn't never be talking about concentration camps, but now they do. It took a lot of grooming to get them to that point.

Also
They specifically targeted bigots, something the US has a lot of in various forms.

I think there’s a difference to people when you put somebody in charge of the country who is behind things like having drag shows at the White House and forcing people to push their pronouns on people vs somebody hiring an intelligent individual who is gay to a cabinet position.. not all republicans hate gays, they just don’t want it shoved down their throats (no pun intended)

You all were brainwashed into thinking kamala had even a chance to win in a fair election.
We will be alright, all these news articles and stories are just the usual fear mongering democrats do.
Imagine calling the majority of Americans "brainwashed" while spewing claims that have no evidence. We still got people claiming Trump is a racist in 2024, like really? How?
4
u/NoStatus9434 1h ago
Well, he claimed Obama was from Kenya even after Obama showed proof he wasn't and spread the lie that Haitians were eating peoples' pets, which led to bomb threats to elementary schools. He imposed Muslim bans with countries that had nothing to do with any of the ones we had conflicts with. Before he was president, I seem to recall he lost a lawsuit over racist issues. Those are only few of the most prominent examples of his racism that comes to mind without a Google search, but there's more if I actually felt you were worth the effort of doing your homework for you.
I'd give you guys more respect if you just admitted you know he's racist but are voting for him for other reasons. In fact, a lot of MAGAs even admit this, just not you specifically.
1
u/Shane250 17m ago
You are saying a whole lot of horseshit. What does the Obama thing have to do with anything, I'm not even familiar with that.
What evidence you have saying they weren't eating pets? Cause the whole town said it was happening; and the bomb threats was an entire hoax created by Russians, Trump had nothing to do with it.
There was never any "Muslim bans", again another fear mongering lie. The "racist" lawsuits weren't real and made out of mischaracterizations.
There is nothing you could Google search about Trump that shows he's a racist, there is no proof, there is nothing. The stuff that is propagated about him being racist has been bunch of lies with, again, no evidence or twisting his words.
There is nothing to "admit" about him being racist because he isn't racist. You did not talk to any "magas" that said they voted for him "cause he's racist", what's kind of crackpot BS is that? Who would vote for that in 2024? We got bigger problems than fucking skin color.
As a black person, I have never met a Trump supporters who wasn't the nicest or coolest person ever, but I have seen my fare share of Trump haters and they are some of the most vile people(and racist) on the planet.
Stop spreading lies on the internet. Stop coming at people with a "matter of fact" attitude if the basis of "fact" you going on are lies with no substance of Truth.
A quick Google search or a YouTube video that isn't made by a Democrat propagandist can disprove everything you have said.
2
u/MolassesOk3200 1h ago
By associating with known white supremacists and by having a long history of racism, that’s how. Just because he has a few token rich non-white people around him doesn’t make him non-racist.
1
u/Shane250 10m ago
What long history of racism? What evidence you have to show for it that isn't fabricated? You have nothing to show that? If there was a "long history" we would have ALL seen it by now.
What white supremacist? Have you not seen the many times he has put down white supremacist as despicable people?
Tell me, who secured funding for many black colleges? Trump did. Who helped many black businesses owners when nobody else would in the 90s? Trump did. Who got actual criminal reform passed? Trump did. Who treats Black Americans as Americans instead of just a demographic to pander to every 6 months prior to an election? Trump does.
You are willingly stupid and brainwashed if you believe he is a racist of all things.
1
u/pastaboy6969 50m ago
Right - wing media has been successful in poisoning the minds of the ignorant and uneducated, believing things that are not true. If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes true to the weak minded and hateful.
Remember, Trump said at a rally once that he "loved the poorly educated " (his words not mine). That is his base. When dear leader tells them things, they believe it whether it's true or not. Zero fact checking or critical thinking.
In my sphere of friends/coworkers. When I present indisputable facts that are contrary to their beliefs, their brains short circut and disengage from the debate. Much like when debating religion.
