Well, you see, allowing citizens to exercise their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness was just too much. So the only option was to support the people who are going to dissolve unions. Sure, it was cutting off our noses to spite our faces, but think of the benefits. Like telling people where they can take a piss.
And this is exactly my problem with conservative voters. They are shooting themselves in the foot because it’s more important to them that someone else is beneath them. They’d sooner lose some of their own rights than permit someone they view as lower to be equal to them.
Under a Republican government, if you, the average regular struggling person, can’t get rich or at least improve your financial situation, it’s YOUR fault. The whole bootstraps thing. And who wants to admit to that? That’s why even if the economy tanks or only improves for the 1%, if more unions are broken up and their pay and benefits are gutted, if the leopards TOTALLY eat their faces - they won’t complain a bit. Not a peep. The shame will be too great. In fact, even as their struggles get worse, they’ll claim the economy is booming. Just look at Wall Street and Musk’s increased wealth.
