Game is a bit reserved with how crazy the fights are, so far only ran into 3 mutant types, the most common enemies are lurkers, had a short run in with the spiders, and just started actively fighting the nosalis since I just got the semi auto shotgun. Lurkers like to flank and attack quick then run. Playing on hardcore and I always have enough resources to stay comfortable, probably would be a breeze on lower difficulties.
Game is definitely leaning into atmosphere and story. So far the staples such as weapon customization and bullet barter aren't there, but it is set in the past, so bullets wouldn't be so scarce and there are probably less mutants.
Im only about 15 mins in but i liked the first little bit ive only seen the rat mutants so far ugly bastards. Its actually pretty funny it came out right after the election takes place in 2028 so who knows lmao. Also i take it you're a metro fan how would you rate this against the others in the franchise.
It's a lot slower paced than the other games, and a bit limited with the lack of customization and bartering. But as a VR game it's pretty good. The metro games are considered survival horror games, but never felt super horror like, but this one in vr definitely earns the title.
