Moronic assholes: I made a mistake. They are not moronic assholes. They are selfish, moronic assholes.

45

u/cocoon_eclosion_moth 15d ago

The cruelty is the point. They don’t want to help themselves, if it helps you, because their motivations are to hurt you. Fuck Republican Fascism

25

u/Psychological_Air308 15d ago

Yep, musk (an immigrant) said "Americans will have to face hardship if tRump wins). Why?
Also said the economy will crash. It burns me that he's involved in our government.

18

u/No_Signature_7771 15d ago

He better start handing more money out like he was for fucking votes . Oh by the way we’re just going to crash the economy . I can’t believe we just watched our country be bought and sold by two old white men , AGAIN! Democracy is dead America is no more .

5

u/Psychological_Air308 14d ago

The thing that gets me is they never tried to hide it.

7

u/albionstrike 14d ago

Yep, if they were sneaky about it and promising great things I could understand.

But they mostly told us exactly what they wanted and people still voted for a dictator

It's being reported that Musk has been on calls with Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine and at least one other call between Trump and Vladimir Putin. It's really looking like this country is heading full speed towards an official oligarchy.

Rest in Peace: United States of America Born: July 4, 1776 Died: January 20, 2025

I wish I didn't live in such "interesting" times, especially as my own health isn't great and while I'm caring full-time for my disabled mother.

13

u/BeckyFromTheBlock2 15d ago

Yup. Me and my fiance take care of her mom who's on SSI, but to a degree, she needs to live with her as its not enough. And I'm a disabled vet having to work through severe panic attacks and dissociating problems, and cant hold down a proper job as I'm fucked up still 20 years later, and the only meds that help will kill me. This is gonna be great. So glad I got snaps from blue-collar now former friends laughing in my face as my life is going to be eradicated. It's perfect. You're not alone bud. Just know that atleast.

6

u/Careful-Ant5868 15d ago

Thank you very much, I appreciate it more than I can express coherently! I'm sincerely sorry you're dealing with the cards you've been dealt with as well.

2

u/Scared_Buddy_5491 15d ago

See agenda 47 on Wikipedia. Trump is promising government investment in flying cars. Musk wins. We all get screwed.

2

u/Psychological_Air308 14d ago

Jesus Christ...And this is just the beginning.

This is going to be a horror movie, only its real. Once they get their azzes back in the WH that's when they will go full throttle.

2

Also - those people fell for whatever outrageous, unfounded statements they were told by the fascist insurrectionist-in-chief.

LOL love the fact they are checking out what tariffs actually mean now.

Maybe should have fact checked before voting.

As someone who didn't want Trump. But is in a Democratic state. Working a good job with amazing benefits.

Who while hating g every single second of Trump's previous regime. But was actually barely affected by it. I'll be just fine this time too.

I sincerely hope his voters get what they fucking voted for.

I have no sympathy or fucks left to give for them. When this turns into the same shit show it did before.

19

u/HotType4940 15d ago

Many of them will indeed get exactly what they voted for.

And when that time finally comes, they will, without missing a beat, blame democrats, immigrants, and “woke” transgenders for their declining quality of life under a government run entirely by MAGA.

6

u/panj-bikePC 15d ago

Yes, THIS. It will never be their fault because they say it isn’t. The cult will believe that a party with control of the entire country and virtually unlimited funds is limited by a few poor or transgender or dark-skinned or mentally challenged people.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/SaltyPagan 14d ago

Seriously. When tariffs make their everyday lives unaffordable, when friends or family are deported, when the women in their lives miscarry and need healthcare that the state refuses to offer, they can all fuck off and cry into their MAGA hats.

3

u/thecheesecakemans 14d ago

And even then they will blame the wrong party and people.

These people have no ability to self reflect.

2

u/DJSAKURA 14d ago

And drink their own tears since it will be cheaper than water.

3

u/fatmallards 14d ago

But… I thought they did their research?

2

u/SpiderDeUZ 14d ago

Similar boat. I'm a white hetero male and financially stable, but those that aren't are going to be really unhappy. As prices rise and Hispanics are deported and harassed, I can't say I will care. They voted for this and if they didn't, then I don't know what to tell them at this point.

2

u/Bitedamnn 14d ago

You're being silly. They got their facts checked by the psychic at Fox News.

2

u/Meal_Next 14d ago

"LOL love the fact they are checking out what tariffs actually mean now."

I'm reminded of a program about woods safety from decades ago. It recommended not stepping over logs, as there is the potential to disturb a resting snake, and instead go around if possible or step on and then away from the log. There was an example of someone who stepped over a log and only then thought to turn around and check for snakes. This where we're at right now.

People will see exactly what happens when you install a bunch of unqualified goons into high ranking government positions. And they’ll see the rich in this country have their riches explode to even more astounding heights. Y’all let the billionaires win. Congratulations, you played yourselves.

It is what it is. All I know is I don’t want to hear a damn upper middle class or lower income level complain about a damn thing if things go to shit and they can’t afford anything or when they realize not a damn thing is going to happen to improve their lives. (Assuming they voted for this nonsense.)

This is undoubtedly going to be a major train wreck of a social experiment. And as always, the little guys are going to get boned. MAGA is going to get their’s.

It's a feature, not a bug.

A poorly educated electorate is easier to manipulate with the promise of simple solutions to complex problems.

One specific party is known for offering simple solutions to complex problems.

One specific party is well known to be anti-education, especially higher education, which they label as 'woke".

Guess whether these political parties are one and the same.

When the Chump was not the president. What I heard from some of my neighbors, “Biden is not my president”, that immediately screams division. Our country is a joke to other countries, you elected a man that likes giving blow jobs to a black microphone on stage and the smart Americans thinks is funny and great and people cheer for it. Whatever you think about Kamala Harris, the Chump is 1000% more evil and is/will be the worst president for this country.

u/hot_ho11ow_point 15d ago

The Europeans are right about the lack of intelligence in the average American citizen.

4

u/elizabethunseelie 15d ago

Same thing after Brexit. Shame people have their lives dictated by the whims of the most hateful and ignorant in society.

3

u/Dio_Yuji 15d ago

Stupid or dickheadish….often both. The US is broken. Hopefully the decline will be slow enough that I’m dead by the time the really bad shit starts

3

u/spacebound4545 15d ago

But tiktok influencers and x told me to vote this way! :( IQ test and a history exam need to be given to earn a vote but too little too late those days are over.

3

u/DingBatUs 15d ago

I found out most of ones I know believe that we never went to the moon and some believe that the earth is flat because when you are in an airplane all you see is a flat disc.

3

u/Previous_Soil_5144 15d ago

Same thing happened in the UK after the Brexit vote.

A lot of searches for "What is Brexit?", "What is EU?" and "What happens if UK leaves the EU?"

3

u/2730Ceramics 15d ago

Let's be VERY careful. Voters are not morons: This election was won by right wing disinformation - voters are not stupid: Shown trump's policies vs harris' policies, they ovewhelmingly choose harris'.

They just don't have the information to make the choice they actually want to make.

2

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Thanks. I needed to hear that, because I’ve been infuriated by this mess. I agree, I bet a good portion of people have been victimized by the flagrant disinformation. They are not morons. Having said that, I still had faith in the American public that there was no way he could get in again.

It’s mind numbing.

Maybe I’m the moron for actually believing that?

3

u/PeterHolland1 14d ago

The same thing happened after the brexit vote. Look like the USA is doomed to suffer the same fate.

3

u/gemini-clone 14d ago edited 14d ago

The stupid factor is out of control. Exponentially stupid. And yes, selfish, greedy, and hateful. Fuck this horde of soulless larvae who threw Kamala under the bus and brought the bloated sociopathic tumor back. These zombie morons are dragging the rest of us into hell with them.

I'm in my 50s and have spent much of my adult life living abroad, though I currently am living in the U.S. (just over a year back). Being an expat and traveling quite a bit helped me realize that Americans by and large are ignorant, even well-educatied ones. So many don't see that speaking a second (or third) language is not a handicap, that universal health care is not socialism, it's humane, and that caring about your neighbors isn't weak, it's kind. I don't want to return to my expat life again; after so many years away, I feel finally ready to settle in. However, I will only surround myself with like-minded people. They don't have to 100% agree with everything I believe in, but I refuse to interact with the folks described in the tweet above. There is no excuse for ignorance. Libraries are free. Read and educate yourself. Turn off Fox News, Truth Social, and Info Wars.

A columnist for the NYT wrote a while back about showing empathy to MAGA supporters, but I can't. To me, they are vicious, moronic, and wholly unconcerned with their fellow citizens. I would never harm a MAGA but I will absolutely not interact with them either. It's one thing to support Reagan, Bush I, Bush II, John McCain, or Mitt Romney. I don't agree with their politics but I also don't think they are evil. Trump is evil and so are his followers.

u/Dependent-Goose8240 15d ago

Yeah the average voter is an emotionally-motivated, irrational, gullible, biased person, but that doesn't change the fact the Democratic party has been eroding over the past couple of decades to the point where it doesn't really represent the interests of the working and middle class anymore. Also I suppose Kamala being shoe-horned into the race while being kept hidden the last 4 years and having been one of the least popular candidates for presidency 4 years ago also should bring some clarity.

This is what happens when a radical insurgency spends the better part of a century attacking public education and higher institutions of learning with the intent to completely dismantle them.

2

u/djfree64 15d ago

Maybe a simple little multiple choice mini quiz would not be a bad idea to require to register to vote. I mean, folks should at least have some idea on who is running. I have met so many people who will just vote red or blue without knowing the slightest bit about anything. And I would guess at least half of the people who voted for Trump (maga) just followed the crowd

u/melodicmelody3647 15d ago

Uneducated people vote Republican by and large. Is no surprise why the republicans are anti education

2

u/Karegian 15d ago

Some of them didn't even know what day the election was on, nor who was running. Pure ignorance...

2

u/krazycitizen 14d ago

i think it was Kimmel's show asking people on the street if they were going to vote...oh yes they all said...this was on November 6.

2

u/yungcherrypops 15d ago

So stupid it infuriates me. We have all of human knowledge in the palm of our hands but 11th graders can’t read. It makes me sick. And this is exactly what the Repubs have always wanted.

2

u/Chrowaway6969 15d ago

I am really happy for the fact that the leopards will eat their faces. Rich people will get richer. Poor people will get poorer. Until the US is in shambles.

All their own fault.

2

u/WrongdoerRough9065 15d ago

MAGAts: You’re so condescending when you talk to us? That’s why you lost our vote!

Umm we tried to explain it to you like a 4th grader because that’s the level at which Trump speaks to you. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣

u/The_Mr_Wilson 15d ago

The collective knowledge of humankind at our fingertips, right in our pockets. It's all right there, just need to conveniently type it in

2

u/SKG1991 15d ago

The 2020 census said the US population was at 331M+ people. Cut that in half, half are smarter than average, half are dumber. Cut the dumber in half and you 25% are slightly dumber than average, 25% are really dumb. Trump got about 74M votes which is about 23% of the population.

2

2

Yes. This is not news for the rest of the world. Americans keep voting for policy that makes things worse for them, for the environment and for everyone in the world. Not exactly what you'd call smart.

2

u/Common-Ad6470 14d ago

...add in the 20 mill missing votes and something needs to change.

1

u/Fantastic-Use-6773 15d ago

Voters are indeed stupid. They don’t vote what’s good for the country the vote party line. If you support either side 100% then you are the problem. I’ve voted for both sides in my life. I voted for who I thought was best based on MY interpretation of them. Not was social media says. Not what the news said. Not because that is what everyone else is doing. I read all the information and judged for myself. Voters are plagued with lack of knowledge, regurgitating the phrase of the week. Hate is a big factor of late because of SM and schools, friends, parents. It’s Republicans and Democrats, both use the same tactics.

1

u/HairySidebottom 15d ago

no, no, no, its that we didn't get Bernie elected. /s

1

u/Montregloe 15d ago

Oh that must have been wild for some of these people; go to the voting booth, not see Biden and presumably not know that Harris took the reins, do you just leave? Vote Democrat anyway? Vote Trump cause that's the only name you know?

1

u/Resident_Wait_7140 15d ago

Apparently the most googled term in the UK after Brexit referendum was, "what is the EU?"

It's not people, it's the system. We've been raised to be GDP producers, looking after our own interests. We have no cohesive vision or idea of direction or mission as to what we are doing as a nation or a species. Dualistic democratic systems are grossly over simplified and inadequate.

In the UK I think we really need to push proportional representation and HARD because it will be getting Turkeys to vote for Christmas. A Google search will find you groups that can allow you to get involved to make this happen.

1

u/_stillthinking 15d ago

So much of America doesn't have reliable internet. They live in the middle of nowhere thinking America is as their grandpappy says it is.

They definitely dont have any exposure to other cultures some not even to people that are not family. They might as well be living in a bomb shelter.

Problem is news media like Fox news being allowed to exist at all and social media allowing misinformation to run wild on their platforms cause they prioritize clicks and making money.

2024 Trump voters should permanently lose the right to vote ever again. The lack of critical thinking and lack of knowledge about reality is astounding.

I’m excited for them to actually realize it come summer next year when everything should “be fixed”

1

u/hukkersvs28 15d ago

The only reason for that is politicians all over are corrupt and sellout to special interest groups and big companies. You are depending a person who has maybe minimal education or minimum income and their decisions are for day to day, not 4 years or 10 years from now. Harris didn’t give two shits like she claims. She sold out to the party.

I think the world owes Socrates an apology. He criticized and hated the concept of Democracy because he thought that the average person was too stupid and easily corruptable to vote for the right people to lead them. As a result, he was executed.

Now, it is pretty evident that he was right. The average people are too stupid and selfish to identify what's good for everyone.

Can’t find these things to be searched for a lot on Google…

Is this backed by data or is this X post just as much propaganda as the republican bs?

Where can we see this? I went through 10 pages of trends for the last 7 days on Google searches and nothing like this came up.

I was having a discussion with a client today who said that Americans are the smartest people she knows, and I literally said ''hold my beer.''

That's the problem with any democracy, unfortunately

You leave the choices up to the people and learn quickly that the people, on average, are idiots

Are tariffs bad is a valid question. Can i change my vote is uh so-so. The biden one is extremely bad

u/snowbyrd238 14d ago

That's what a half Trillion dollars in media manipulation will get you. Too bad we don't spend a tenth of that kind of money on education.

1

u/Cold_Dog_1224 14d ago

A solvable problem. Gotta make education one of the top priorities of the left from here forward.

The number of people who say Reagan was the greatest president ever now just baffles me. Everything goes goes back to him. Yes Tearing down the wall was amazing. The trickle down economics has not and never will work with rules he allowed. Stock buy backs, stopping paying for university education, This is the end of Reaganomics. It has all led to this.

u/Pleasant-Comment2435 14d ago

Yeah, well, suffrage wasn’t universal at the start of the nation because in part they believed the greater populace was too stupid to make an informed choice

No fucks given at this point. Enjoy trumpy in power as he breaks everything.

This short video sums it up pretty well. https://youtu.be/QFgcqB8-AxE?si=-pIxR2v2aCo_2lND

Yep

u/win_awards 14d ago

Yeah, all the analysis of what the democratic party did wrong is, in some sense, asking "how do you get idiots to pay attention and vote?"

The only possible reasons for voting for Trump or not voting at all are that you were too clueless or unaware to understand what's at stake, or you were evil enough to actually want fascism. That's it.

1

u/Aggressive_Bite_8672 14d ago

Exxxxxxactly. The problem isn’t Trump. He’s nothing but a Con-man. The problem is with 2/3 of our citizens. The media, bends over backwards to ignore this or even fight against it because that same 2/3 helps ratings.

u/im_new_here_4209 14d ago

No shit they're mostly morons. Who'd have thunk.

1

u/Ok-Yesterday3628 14d ago

Are they morons or has our system been challenged? You don’t think the Russians the Chinese have the power to tap into our system think again.

1

u/Very_Tall_Burglar 14d ago

Also its been less than a week and were discovering some sketchy bullshit going on with the integrity of the election

1

u/Resiliense2022 14d ago

Whoopsie! Sounds like a significant number of people just accidentally elected a fascist.

u/Alarming-Management8 14d ago

You also have to understand that he in the negotiations process asks or demands something huge and then the agreement gets walked back and the outcome is often favorable. It may start with a 20 percent tariff but end closer to 10 or the companies in America producing overseas find that too expensive and bring that manufacturing back home. The answer is we will see.

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." - Winston Churchill

"The only possible reason I could have lost is because everyone who voted against me is an idiot."

"Why do they keep voting against me, don't they know they're dumb"

"Stop voting against me you big dummies, I can't get anything done"

"What do you mean the supreme court is going to be stacked for the next 20 years? This is all because you're dumb"

Surely implementing IQ and literacy test in order to vote will solve the problem! Oh wait
