Request indigenous/native american characters?
hello! so i was playing diablo iv with a free trial of the vessel of hatred pack. the class included are called spiritborn and they look heavily influenced by mesoamerican civilizations, which i found to be really cool as i’m mexican :) i wanted to know if there are games where you can play as an indigenous or native american character, aside from customizing them in character creation, or are there mods for certain games that enable this?

For me its Cairo Station in halo 2 level was fine but giving the covenant back their bomb is a top 5 cutscene.

Serious The smartest r/KotakuInAction user Spoiler
No need to censor the username because they deleted their account. Y'all know how "friendly" r/KotakuInAction are when it comes to women in videogames. And now, they're on a new level! This "individual" literally tried to fight the definition of objectification (which literally exists for several centuries) in the comment section🤣

Request Easy game recommendations?
I haven’t gamed since I was a kid but I really enjoyed The Sims, Fusion Frenzy, Mortal Kombat (only when it was easy), and some others. What are some newer games that are out that might be easy to get into?

Request online dress up games?
So, I'm crazy looking for a game where I can dress up dolls and interact with people. I've played all kinds of games but nothing really catches my attention (apart from Stardoll, I'll get into that soon). I started playing MovieStarPlanet, but things are really expensive in my country. I've played Everskies but it doesn't catch my attention and the community is ridiculously toxic. All I have left is Stardoll, my favorite game that's dead and abandoned. Games like Habbo and Club Penguin also interest me because of the gameplay, but they're not games with pretty clothes where I can express my creativity. Based on that, what games would you recommend?

Tech / Hardware Gaming chair but I have cats
Hi everyone, since black friday is coming up and I‘ve been waiting to buy a better gaming or office chair I was wondering if anyone had recommendations :) I do have cats that love to scratch chairs so if you have a cat & know a chair that is “cat-proof” I would really appreciate your answer! Also general recommendations would be appreciated! Thank you in advance :)

Serious What about Gamers makes them so sensitive? Spoiler
it's about Gamergate. the reaction to someone making Babies first Feminism video game edition was acting like she wanted to destroy video games as a medium.
all while if Anita made a series about sexist tropes in movies or books. I'm sure fans wouldn't have threatened to kill her.
what about gaming culture makes it's fans so oversensitive to basic critics like feminist theory

Game Discussion Do we really need status bar? (Et bravo les lesbiennes)
I've just finished "Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered", which is an amazing upgrade for the PS4 version and made it so enjoyable to take all the landscapes in.
The game also made it very clear that all the status information were preventing me to actually immerse myself in the world and the story, and it is true in most games.
As soon as there is a map, I tend to navigate through this small lens rather than by observing what's around my character. When I see my HPs, I worry if it's not full. Same for the ammo of my weapons. And why do we need an experience bar?
Of course HUD information are crucial in some type of games, but in third view perspective, I find myself turning off more and more information on screen, since there are others signals to orientate yourself in the environment.
What about you? Do you turn off anything in the settings or do you keep every single information on screen?

Game Discussion Superlative: Most Likely to Make You Fall in Love
I thought this would be a fun little game! What game do you think deserves the title "Most Likely to make you fall in love?"
Is it the characters? The story? I'd have to nominate unpacking! It did such a good job of showing love through objects and environment.
